Hiya everybody! :D As we all know, there is a "This Sucks" thread in the "Boys Beware" folder, but here is another COMPLETELY OPEN one! Everybody is encouraged to express their burdens here! Example:

Getting my cereal bowl all set up, getting excited to eat some delicious breakfast, and then... there's no milk.

Not being able to watch a show you really want to, because you simply mustn't get ahead of your mom episode-wise, but there's nothing else that you haven't seen that you like on Netflix!

Marlene (marlene1001) | 490 comments What's "The Fall of the House of Usher"?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

It's an extremely wordy short story by Edgar Allan Poe. I personally don't care for it, and I have a rather large essay on it due Tuesday. Here is the website that we used. The underlined blue is embedded study notes that you can click on.

Having a best friend who's an incredible person, who's nice and funny and a tad bit immature and all of that fun stuff, but never knowing and being almost positive that they don't consider you a best friend, because they're social and popular and you're like the antisocial loser at school who has one little group of friends and no one else.

Oh yeah. And liking previously mentioned best friend. And being expected to laugh off any mere suggestion that you might end up with them at any point in time, or actually even ever feel that way. Just because your sisters and their friends are always joking about you growing up and getting married.

You should just ignore your sister if it bothers you hon! My sister and my mom tease me to no end, but I try not to let it get to me. If you don't give them what they want, they'll start to lose interest in the subject.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

No, like my sister doesn't tease me. She genuinely thinks that I just hang out with him because I think she wants me to. Like, duh, that's how we met, and sure, that's the reason why I actually started talking to him, but she can't seem to grasp the concept that we actually hit it off well and are friends because we actually want to be. She's been better about it recently, but...
