Gross violence

Was anyone else bothered by the graphic nature of some of the fights? The bugs hatching, etc. Do you think it was necessary to go to such detail? I have an overactive imagination already. I was totally grossed out a lot of the time. To me, it took a bit away from the story. What's your thoughts?

I didn't finish this book, and this book is the one that prompted me to quit reading the series, because it was disgusting. The way someone literally coughed up their guts...ugh. Ew.

The violence did not bother me but i have a very strong stomach for those sorts of things. i loved this book :)

I am a senior and have read all of the series. Although I do enjoy the teen books I really enjoyed these. A very good author and really got caught up in the plot of this series. Then again I do enjoy all of the Stephen Kings books. I guess to each person has their own opinion.

Barbara I'm NOT a King fan so maybe that's where I've gone wrong with this. ;) I so love the series so far and can't wait for the last one to come out. ...more

I loved this series. I've read it tons of times, and I don't really mind the violence.

i think its necessary for a good book for it to be descriptive :) people of a squeamish nature might want to skim read those parts though haha

no,it was a good book and not very violent to what ive read before:)
