Maxx glanced around, "Nice place."

She smiled a little."Thanks."She led him inside.No one else was there except for them.

"Your piano is upstairs, I'm going to guess?" He looked around, not seeing it.

She nodded."Yeah."She led up stairs to her room.Her room wasn't girly at all.The walls had been painted a royal blue and the carpet was white.Her piano stood in the corner.

"Not much of a frilly girl, eh?"

She shook her head."Nope."She walked over to the piano and sat down.

Maxx sat on the bench beside her, shuffling through the sheets of music.

Maxx closes his eyes and listens until it came to close, before letting his fingers find the keys as he plays a song himself, never opening his eyes.

She listened to him play,smiling softly.The melody was absolutely beautiful.

When it came to a close, he opened his eyes and folded his hands on his lap.

She smiled and clapped lightly."That was beautiful!"

He smiled, and took a mock bow. "Thank you, thank you very much. As was yours, love, if I may say."

She blushed a little."I'm not as good as you."

"I've been practicing since I was very small, you'll soon catch up, I'm sure."

She nodded."Probably."

He laughed, "I'll be left in the dust!"

"I doubt that."She smiled at him.

Maxx left and stood, "Well, I don't mean to intrude," he smiled.

She stood up too."I guess you have other things to do."

He thought for a minute then shrugged, "No, not really. Just go home and.." he shuddered. "Don't want to think about that one too much."

She frowned slightly and cocked her head a little."Is...something wrong?"

"Nothing, really. Just my mom is all," he tried to smile, and failing, looked at the ground instead.

Her eyes filled with worry."You can tell me anything,you know."

"It's nothing to worry about. Honestly."

She bit her lip a little."Okay..."

"Really, love," he murmurs, "Don't worry."

She noticed for the first time that he was calling her 'love'.She bit her lip again.

"What's wrong?"

She shook her head."Nothing."

He smiled softly, "Are you sure?"

She glanced up at him and nodded.

"Oh, good," he chuckled and sat on the floor with a sigh.

She sat down across from him.

"Well this won't be fun," Maxx said, referring to going home.

She was still curious about what he meant.

Taking his guitar off, Maxx set it beside him. "Home isn't always a good place," he explained.

She nodded sadly."Oh..."

"Don't think too much about it. I've survived so far, I'll live, right?"

She nodded."Yes."

"I'd invite you over, but I don't think you'd want to be there," he ran a hand through his hair.

She shrugged and laid down on her back.She turned her head so that she was looking at him.

His phone began to ring, a Jeffree Star song playing from his pocket.

She smiled a little.

"A text?" He raised his eyebrow, pulling out his phone.

She just looked at him,wondering who the text was from.

He read it quickly and sighed, not replying, shoving it back in his pocket.

She frowned a little.

"Just Alex, being stupid again."
