I have so many, but the two that don't change for me are The Bone Collector, and The Dark Tower. Completely different books but each one has affected a change in me when I was finished reading them. So they will forever remain my favorites (probably).

Sai King's Dark Tower books is my all-time favorite series, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
The Bone Collector is a great book, as well.:)

It, The Stand, Harry Potter Boxset, The Godfather, The Dark Tower Series Collection: The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Waste Lands, Wizard and Glass, Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah, The Dark Tower If you count the Harry Potter series and Dark Tower series as one (which is kind of cheating, I know), those are probably my top five :-)
My favorite book is Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon :-)
My favorite authors include: Dan Chaon, Dean Koontz, Stephen White, Tess Gerritsen, John Saul and some other ones.
My favorite author from childhood and perhaps forever is C.S. Lewis, and my favorite of his books is "'Till We Have Faces." I started with the Narnia books and still love them, of course. Another favorite is "The Shack." When I'm more awake and have had some time to think about it, I may come up with some more favorites.
Watership Down, The Dark Tower Series , The Stand, The Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, The Handmaid's Tale, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Fever Series, The Beach, Swan Song, The Stepford Wives, Bag of Bones

I know what you mean. I love to walk, but after reading that one, I don't think I would have been able to do it.

Christopher wrote: "Oh and I'd have to throw in LotR! Saw a few others mention that one after I posted. Can't believe I forgot about it"no worries; you know everyone forgot a few books. our posts would never end if we wrote down ALL the favorites :)
My favorite is probably Stephen King's Gerald's Game. I love the dark creepiness of it. A life-long favorite of mine is The Wind in the Willows.
Michelle, I recently read Gerald's Game and really liked it. I'm slowly but surely, making my way through all his books and I hadn't read that one yet. Good stuff!

Oh, you're very welcome, Kathy! I decided to add it because it's not only my 1st book by Koontz, but also my favorite of his. IMO, it's easily one of his best.
Thank you for saying so, Alondra!

Frank Pollard is afraid to fall asleep. Every morning he awakes, he discovers something strange—like blood on his hands—a bizarre mystery that tortures his soul. Two investigators have been hired to follow the haunted man. But only one person—a young man with Down’s Syndrome—can imagine where their journeys might end. That terrible place from which no one ever returns…

Christine- I think you should definitely give The Bad Place a go.. I realize that you're not really into supernatural stories from the likes of Koontz, King, etc.., but this one's truly amazing, IMO. Who knows, you might enjoy it.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying Gerald's Game. I've heard many people say that they don't like it. I'm very behind on my SK reading so kudos for you in reading them all. Enjoy! :)
