Clarabella walked in the laundry place with a huge basket load of a torches laundry.Yes,she hated doing laundry because it made her hands sore and sometimes they got blisters, but it got her money so she did anything now.She sighed as she knelt down near the water tub and she began to wash the clothing, scrubbing them really hard.
Mia had already been there since near dawn, working on a few of the Starlight peoples clothes, along with the usaul disgusting laundrey that could only belong to the Torches. "They...should have to do there own laundrey!" She growled under her breathe, her hands were raw from the cold water as she scrubbed out a silky piece of cloth, carful not to tear any holes in it.
"Oh dear no, i wouldnt want them to get their hands blistered and dirty with their disgusting filth!"Clarabella said sarcastically, not minding if the girl nor anyone else heard her.
Mia cracked a bit of a smile, "One of these days I hope they should have hands so raw and red from doing our clothes! Scum bag!" She muttered, still keeping her voice low as not to be ehard by unwanted ears.
"I doubt that will happen.Since their much too wimpy and just oh so precious to be doing things like laundry.Because their oh so just so perfect"Clarabella said not to anyone. She was in a rather good mood today, and its not like the girl and her would become friends,so she didnt mind sharing her feelings.
Mia smirked, tossing a silky shirt over a line to dry. She sighed, dropping back down to her knees, her thin pants were soaked from when she had, had to fill her tub with water and spilt it on herself. "Big bad Torches can hang the innacent, but they can't even clean." She snorte din disgust.
When she mentioned the innocent being hung,Clara said nothing. She didn't like when hangings were mentioned since it brought bad memories. She hung some clothing on a line and begun to wash a bit more of torches clothes, constantly pushing her hair back from out of her face.
Mia glanced over at the stranger girl, pursing her lips together. It was better to say nothing more she descided, turning her attention back to her own work. She had, had a few friends hung before, she always feared for her little brother's safty because of this. lately there had been more hangings since the rebels started rising.
Clara washed the clothes in silence, pretty quick compared to other people who took ages to wash clothes. She put a lot of force into the clothes so that they washed a bit quicker. It might have hurt more, but it got her out of the laundry place quicker.
Mia stood up at last, hanging up an old worn down blanket before she started to drag the water tub out, full of nasty bubbly water, to dump. She dumped it outside, shiving as the cold breeze swept through her wet, thin clothing.
Clara still scrubbed the clothes in the wash tub,a pile next to her.She didnt mind washing clothes much,it wasnt very difficult,it was just tiring. Her hands were already blistering, more than they already were, and her arms felt sore
Mia stepped back inside, stepping over across the small room and sitting down near Clara, starting to help her with the clothes she was still washing.
Clara looked over at her"You dont have to help me"She said, her voice much smaller than before. She turned back to the clothes right after she spoke, her small dainty hands rubbing the clothing.
"Well I am." Mia responded in a bit of a sour tone as she scrubbed the dirt and filth from the fabrics, "We'll still be able to get these done in time for me to get to my next job anyways."
"But it'll make you much more sore than you already are"she said. She knew the feeling of being very sore and hurt and she didn't want to bring that on to anyone, well except the torches.
"It dosen't matter." Mia said, her voice was firm. She was used to being a bit bossy and doing extra things, after all she had a brother to look out for. "Just wash, and stop worring."
Clara heard her voice grow firm, and she instantly snapped towards the clothing, her eyes growing with fear. She washed quickly, all her fear pouring out into the clothing and giving her a bit more power.
"Not so hard, your going to hurt yourself on the damn washboard." Mia murmered, her tone softened slightly. She hung up a few colorful shirts and pants and underclothes to dry.
Clara didnt say anything but her rubbings grew a bit softer, her expression not changing much. She hung clothes and washed quickly until there was no more clothing to be washed.Clara grabbed the wash tub and she carried it outside,it almost toppling over on herself from the weight. She dumped out the water and carried it back inside.
"Geez, I'm the enemy, stop acting like I'm going to attack." Mia grumbling, standing up and drying her hands off on the bottom of her shirt.
"Well you snapped at me,what would you expect?"Clara said quietly, almost to herself, but she meant for her to hear.Clara spoke her mind since she was a starlight, but if it was a torch she would stay completely quiet.
"I didn't snap!" Mia said, narrowing her eyes a bit. She had a bit of an attitude problem when it came to other people, "Nevermind, I have to get going anyways." She said, walking past Clara.
"You just did, right there"Clara said silently as she sat down, waiting for the clothes to dry.She didnt trust the people around to not touch the clothes,so she always waited for it to be dry before leaving.
Mia pressed her lips together, walking with swift strides to get to the Southern part of the town where her next job of the day would be, cleaning up the damn mayors house would take a few days.
After a while, the clothes were dry.She began to take them off the line and folded them neatly and very gently into the basket. She took the clothes off the lines first and then knelt down next to the basket and began to fold.
yuu stared off at her laundry In the basin. she was too tired from gathering fruit. she brushed her hair to one side and begin to wash.
Mia sighed softly to herself as she dropped an empty basket down beside one of the lines. She reached up, beggining to undo the now dry clothes from the line so she could fold them and put them into the basket, to be delivered to their owners.
Kirra scrubbed harder and harder. Pushing down on the cloth with all her strength. Her hands hurt, but not as much as she did in her heart. The left me here, all by myself! I was just suppose to get in and out! They new a got caught and instead of saving me they give me Fang. How is a wolf pup going to get me out of her. Even though she was furious, Kirra knew the answers. It was way to risky to get a newly captured star out in the middle of the day... or Ever. A single tear fell down her cheek and to her lips. Funny how something that comes from pain could taste so good. Sitting up straight Kirra cringed when her muscles tightened in complaint. A few more pains reminded her that sore muscles wasn't all she had to worry about. New bruises covered most of her body, they had made sure to show her what her places was in this town. Grabbing her basket of wet clothes she walked over to a clothing line and begun to put up the clothes. She had to hold in a whimper every time she bent down to grab a pieceof clothing.
Mia looked up from where she bent over her own basket, watching Kirra for a short while before she turned her head away and folded the last of the shirts into the basket. "Newbie." She muttered under her breathe, she had seen many like this girl before here. This was a tounger job, and a lot of people who started out at the harsh laundrey work would sometimes pass away of exaustion. She stood up slowly, putting her hands against her back and popping her back before she turned and started to help Kirra silently out the wet clothes onto the drying line.
Valentine bent down as she scrubbed hard washing a torches clothing her hands didnt hurt even though if you watched her you would think they hurt after she finishes washing them she stands up moving her hair out of her eyes and she takes the basket and walks over to a line and starts to hang them up to dry
Sammy rushed into the room, the door flying open as her red eyes and tears burned her cheeks from crying. She made her way silently over to one of the washing tubs and threw all the cloths onto the ground. She tried hard to to look at anyone, tried not to show how scared she was now. Soon, the Torches would come looking for her and ask what was taking her so long. She threw the first shirt into the tub and began to scrub like a mad woman, water splashing left and right as she tried her best to move as fast as she could without spilling or tearing the clothing. She sniffled and threw that cloth onto the ground next to her when it was done, and quickly grabbed another. Faster, Faster, Faster. Was all she could think.
Valentine looked over at this girl her eyes went sad she shaked her head she didnt know why people would want to make the torches mad and by the look of this girl the torches will get mad as the cloths were drying she walked over to the girl and kneeled down " Calm down " she whisperd in a soft smooth voice as she started to help the girl wash the cloths she was quick and did not make a single tear in any of the cloths as she helped the girl

Kirra was surprised when a girl appeared next to her. She grabbed clothes about of her basket and started hanging them up. At first Kirra paused, why would she help her? She decided to take advantage of the help, she stretched and then began hanging more clothes. She sides glanced at the girl after a a minute. "You don't have to help me anymore, I think I can handle the rest." She said and then added. "And thank you." She would do her best to repay the girl the best she could when she was better.

She gave a small smile to her, the corners of her lips turning up. "Thank you." she whispered softly, slowing down just a bit to get her composure. She opened her mouth to tell the girl that she didn't need to help her, but closed it just as quickly, knowing she needed all the help she could get. She now felt a bit bad about telling the other girl to go away, but also didn't at the same time. They were almost already done, the two of them working in unison, though Valentine was a bit faster Sammy could still clean them fast. She soon finished the load and began to practically throw the clothing onto the clothes line, wishing there was a a way they could dry quickly. She looked to the girl who had been kind enough to help her once more, smiling. "Whats your name?" she said quietly, wishing to thank her once again.
Valentine stood up wiping her wet hands on her pants she then bowed her head slightly to be polite " I am Valentine " She looked up and smiled at her " And please do not thank me for helping it is really not a big deal i love to help people " She said politely but in a soft voice she walked over to her own cloths as she check if they were drying
Sammy looked up to the older girl with a small grin, but then her lips turning upside down as she furrowed her eye brows. "But can't you get into trouble with the Torches for helping me?" she practically whispered, leaning in closer to her so no one else could hear. She use a clothes pin yo pin up another apron, the wounds on her hands from the sewing machines about reay to burst open.
She shaked her head " No not really you see i mostly never make the torches mad plus all the torches that see me are somewhat nicer then others " she started to fold her own cloths now
Sammy looked at the girl with a small frown. There were nicer torches here? "Your lucky." she shrugged, because she had always assumed that all torches were rude and unforgiving. "Is there anyway to make these dry faster?" she asked, hanging up the final apron.
She looked at the cloths and bit her lip a bit before walking over there feeling the cloths..soaking wet..she took two fingers and started running them down the cloths the water comeing out alot faster she did this to all the cloths they all looked dry now just a little damp " Now there just a bit damp they should be dry in no time" She smiled and finished folding her own cloths but waited a bit more for her other cloths to dry

"Newbi..."Mia looked over at the girl for a moment, pressing her lips together. Normally, she was one of the few people whom would help the others around her. She was a good hard worker, and she akways finished before the others. But that was only because she had been here so long that she didn't mind the icy or hot water, the cracking of her hands or the harsh soaps. She barley noticed them anymore. "Alright." She murmered.

Kirra smiled at the girl, showing her thanks. After she finished the basket she looked out one of the windows and looked at the sun. From it's position it was past noon and getting late. She grabbed her empty basket and put it by some others, she untied an apron and hung it up. She noticed that most of the other 'stars' didn't were them, they must be used to getting their own clothes dirty and wet. Kirra stretched and walked out the front door, ready to great her new home.
