If the reigning Moderator gets the majority of the votes, do they stay on as moderator? Or does command go to next most popular?
In the event of a tie, does the current moderator decides the outcome, or do both members become moderators? I like your squirrel by the way.
What if, hypothetically, there is a complete absence of votes? Is this considered the same as a tie?

The reigning Moderator may reign for one year and may not participate in that year's Election. However, that Moderator may participate in any Elections after that. In the event of a tie, both candidates will have a debate and the members will vote again according to that debate.
And if no one votes, I will hunt them down and feed them to the pangolins piece by piece.
How would these debates be structured? Would they actually be debating, or merely pressing their case?
Would they each merely give more information about themselves, or would there be an actual debate, over the merits of who is the best moderator?
Every year this group will have an election to decide who will be the Moderator for the coming year.
RULES: The Moderator can appoint any number of other members to Moderator, but they, too, must step down at the end of the year. The Moderator who reigns during the Election will oversee it. And, obviously, you may not vote for yourself.
