The woods.

Jen sat down with a sigh. She was deep, deep in the woods, away from all those people. She hated them all. All of them. At least Jasper was easy to manipulate.

She noticed a small black cat staring at her with pale blue eyes. "Aren't you guys supposed to be deaf? No, that's white ones" she asked halfheartedly as the kitten limped forward and sat in her lap. She blinked, ready to push it away, when she noticed it had scars all over it. She lifted it carefully. "Are you okay?" she asked. Somehow it seemed to reply in her mind. No, it said. Not it. He. "What's your name?" she questioned. Don't have one, it replied. "Okay then, from now on you are...Panther" she said, satisfied.

Suzanna slowly walked through the trees, carrying her umbrella and looking up at the patchwork of branches above. She moved gracefully, just as she was taught to, Almost gliding over the ground instead of walking on it. She came to a stop and surveyed the scene before her, the cat cradling a small kitten in her lap and murmuring to it. She stood silently as she waited for their connection to make her presence known, wondering why she was doing this.

Bree ran through the woods, on her usual path. She enjoyed the lovely nature as she ran, picking up speed subconsciously.

Jen smiled faintly as Panther curled up in her lap. She sighed contentedly. Peace at last. She couldn't deal with all those stupid zodiac animals. They were unimportant and ridiculous, as always. She wished she could just run away again. But the Winters had made sure she couldn't do that. A tracking chip blinked a small white light from inside her wrist. She grimaced...

and froze. That...what was she... Jen stared straight ahead at Suzanna with an undescribable expression. Her tan, which was barely there, paled until she looked drained, the only movement her hand still petting the sleeping kitten on her leg. She swallowed hard. "Wh...wha...what do you want?" she finally choked out.

Kara yawned. She was just out in the woods enjoying the sunshine.

Suzanna stood in the shadows, her face blank. She watched as the girl in front of her sat stiffly near the kitten. "If you didn't run away that wouldn't be necessary you know." She said, motioning to her own wrist.

Kara lazily opened one eye at the sound of talking but she disregarded it. She was too sleepy in this warmth to do anything.

"I run away because I don't like you, God" she replied. She didn't like Suzanna, one bit. She hated the 'controller' of the zodiac fiercely. She looked down with a start as Panther purred and climbed up to sit on her golden brown locks of hair, haphazardly making a nest.

"Watch your tongue kitty. You want to keep it don't you?" Suzanna replied cooly. "I don't give a damn whether or not you like me, I am the head of Winter house and what I say goes. Got it?" The words rolled off her tongue and she didn't stop them

Bree ran back towards the edge of the woods, increasing her speed gradually.

Jen scowled. "Stuff you. No one likes you" with that last sentence she stood up and gracefully walked away, her green eyes bright in the coming darkness. She sighed and turned, heading for Cody's through the bush.

Suzanna smiled, as if enjoying her own private joke. "Of course they do, even if they pretend to hate me they cannot. I am God."

Bree followed the other girl, from a distance, and more on her trail.

Jasper was walking along the path, hear hair wet from the previous rain. She ws used to the freezing temperatures so she didn't transform as easy. She had her sweatshirt on and shorts. She was looking at a small stone in the middle of a clearing, her hands in her pockets,

Bree noticed a girl, but continued her jog.

Jason was also walking down the same path. He saw Jasper approaching but she didn't seem to be looking where she was going. She looked freezing but she didn't seem to be phased by the cold, "You okay?" He called to her taking off his own jacket prepared to give it to her if she wanted it.

Jasper seemingly jumped at the boys presence, holding her hands in fists in front of her until she saw it was him. "oh, just a normal boy." she said, letting out a breath and stepping in front of the small grave, "what are you doing out here."

"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude... I'm just out for a walk." He said putting his hands up in surrender. "You look cold." Jason added offering her his jacket.

She took a step away, her eyes warning. "I'm fine. You should keep it."

"Fine." he said and continued walking past "Just don't blame blame me if you get sick."

She smirked, turning and looking at the grave."that's what I said." she whispered.

He stopped, "Your mother?" he asked realizing what she must mean by that.

She didn't say anything, her eyes sadly narrowed at the small stone. She nodded slightly, looking at the ground before she sat down, bringing her knees to her chest and resting her arms on her knees. Her snowy white hair glistening with rain. She wondered why he wasn't scared, she wasn't like other girls.

He walked over her and sat down next to. He draped his jacket over her head like a blanket and stared at the stone. "I'm so sorry."

"don't worry, I don't care that much." she said, smriking. "she hated me."

"I'm so sorry." he said. Jason felt like he needed to comfort her, but he barely knew the girl.

She looked at him, raising an eyebrow and standing Up. "hey do you go to school."

"Yeah. Do you?" he asked her.

Se looked up at him, holding out his jacket, "yes, what year/class."

Jason chuckled, "Keep the jacket. I'm fifteen so that makes me a second year."

She smirked, "you mean first?" she asked, tucking his jacked in his arm.

Jason refused to take it, "Yeah, I guess."

She didn't let him touch her, " well, see you in school then."

"Wait! What's your name?" he asked.

She smirked, looking at him with suddenly blood red eyes. They always were she just hid them in her hair, "Jasper Winter." she said, smiling and walking into the forest with her hands in er pockets.

"I'm Jason! Jason Everthorn!" he called after her. He turned around and walked away, "Jasper Winter.... Jasper..." he smiled a bit, "Strange girl."

Bree jogged and jogged, though her legs felt like jello. She was in zombie mode, the only reason why she kept going was she wasn't done thinking.

Jason was walking down the path. He looked over at the stone as he passed the clearing. He bowed his head respectfully and thought about Jasper. I hope she didn't get sick yesterday. He sighed and continued walking.

Speaking of which, she was walking down the path boredly. Her dark blue uniform seemed different. She had on thigh-high black socks, her shoes rugged converse that used to be bright orange. A piercing in her eyebrow and three different ones in her left ear. She didn't have a tie, only it buttoned down to show her pale (but creamy-colored) collarbone, decorated with two necklaces that had different symbols. She had her black back pack draped around her back, humming as she walked down the path.

Jason heard humming and turned to see Jasper walking down the path. He smiled, Good. She doesn't look sick. Let's keep it that way. He waved to her, "Jasper!"

She glanced up lazily, a small sucker in her mouth. "huh? What." she asked, stopping in her tracks and looking at him with the same tired expression.

"It's me! The guy from yesterday. Jason. Remember? Good to see you aren't sick." he said falling into step beside her.
