Isabella | 154 comments Murtagh is my favorite part of the entire Cycle--Eldest loses a whole star in my eyes just because of the end, and Inheritance would have fallen even harder if he'd died. But he lived, and so did Thorn! I'm so, so happy! I love Inheritance!

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments AAAaaaahhhhhhh! Spoilers! Oh well, I thought they were going to be the ones to die too.

message 3: by Cole (new)

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments Anyway, they are the most complex characters of the cast.

message 4: by Isabella (new)

Isabella | 154 comments I'm sorry! I didn't know that! I need to stop writing so blatantly. Sorry again.

message 5: by Cole (new)

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments That is okay, all is forgiven. It is more my fault than your's. I have no excuse for not finish it so that no one could spoil it for me when I can see the book right here on my desk. *sigh* I need to get to it, but I am just not motivated at the moment.

Paolini really left me hanging on Murtagh. At first I thought Murtagh was this shady awesome warrior guy, and then he dies (or so we think) and I was sad, and then we find out he is alive and although I know he was coerced and turned by Galbatorix, he seemed to enjoy killing people and revel in his newfound power. Then he helped Nasuada and was starting to fight Galbatorix, and I thought better of him, but before I can firmly decide my opinion, he vanishes.
I'M SO CONFUZZLED!!!!

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments Hahaha! I think that is the way you are suppose to feel. He was a troubled man and is still trying to figure everything out, even from the very beginning. We never really knew what he was thinking or going on with him. He is a mystery. One of those tortured souls.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I know, but it felt so open-ended with him it made me want to scream. I will forever have to live with the mystery of what Murtagh's true priorities were. That's part of why I'm pushing for Paolini to write a whole other series of the past of some of the characters and Alaegaesia and what happens after. Unfortunately, I think that series will only exist in my imagination.

message 9: by Cole (new)

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments Well, I remember him saying that he would come back to the world of Alagaesia. But he didn't specify whom or when.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

See why that next series must come into existence?

message 11: by Cole (new)

Cole (spectyr333) | 458 comments So we can read more about it...?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I love Murtagh. Ur suspicious about him in Eragon then u love him, then when u think he dies it's terrible then u hate him cuz he's just evil. Then u love him. I want him to write just a series about Murtagh and Thorn. Like Murtaghs story all the way up until the end of Inheritance. Then write about what happens to him and Thorn after Inheritance.

If you look music and Murtagh I suggest looking up his theme song. It is incredible!

I can't find it on iTunes. But my favorite songs from the movie are keep holding on, once in evey life time, and if you were flying.

And now that I think about it, is this Murtagh's theme song from the movie?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

No, some fan girl made it up I think. I listen to almost every song from the movie. They keep me holding on!

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Basically, Orin complemented me for posting the song link, then guessed that I was blushing, and I said that boys did not blush at that kind of thing. But they do blush at other things, which came up on a different thread.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)
