I think "Franny & Zooey" is his masterpiece, it's seamless storytelling! I have yet to read "Raise High The Roof Beam". What are your guys' thoughts on the latter and the former.

I'm just wanting to let people know there is a new Salinger book -- "Three Early Stories" which contains three of his earliest short stories.

I was reading about Salinger tonight and when he was drafted into the military. He was drafted in 1942. What was interesting about this is the number is mentioned in the Catcher In The Rye. I wrote a post about it here
