In the 1st book I hated him. Literally. But in the 2nd book he was very sweet and nice to Alera. I think he deserves something better than this.

Yeah, I actually felt bad for him at the end of Allegiance, because I actually think he's awesome now. I hated him in the first book, too, though I accepted that he was a great character, but now I really love him. I'm glad that the book ended how it did, but I'm seriously hoping that Cayla Kluver will cut him a break in Sacrifice.

yeah, I hated him badly in the first book. In the second book I started to like him but and in the third book I really loved him, he was so nice and understanding (by example to his niece).
