Norah felt the effects of the good nights sleep resting in her. Today, she had plenty of energy, creativity, and happiness. She could spare it all. Issac stood beside her, walking along the cave's length with her, cracking jokes. She laughed at them all, thinking he was quite the funny guy. He never ceased to make her stop wondering about him. Who'd taught him to joke like that? Why did he live in a cave? Where had his demons come from? Who was he, and why didn't anyone else care about those things besides her? She couldn't understand the reasons he was spending his time with her, save for that she'd somehow been able to drive the demons from his mind so he could sleep. And it really was a wonderful ability, wasn't it? It made Norah feel as if she wasn't just average. Just normal. She ws someone. Someone that mad meaning. And that was beautiful. Norah listened to him with joy as they walkes along.
When his lips met hers, she sank into the kiss eagerly, again mystified by the sensation of kissing someone- of kissing him. His lips were soft and sensual and it ensnared Norah, heart and soul. It was an odd feeling too, because he was the only one she'd ever kissed, and she had no idea if she was doing it right. It was stupid, yes, but she hoped he found kissing her just as good as she did him.
As they went deeper into the dark, the sunlight soon vanishing alltogether from them. Issac's all too known fire power rushed through his hand and a makeshift candle lit illuminated their path in the otherwise dark cave. It brought something to Norah's mind, and she wasted no time speaking. "Issac?? How do you control fire and air??"
She smiled at his jokes, laughing and grinning over at him and she moved closer to him. Suddenly, their way was blocked and it took a moment for Norah to realize that it was because they'd come upon a sort of entrace to a smaller cove. It took on a manmade appearance though, since there was a door intead of an open mouth. She glanced at him after he spoke and knit her dark eyebrows. "I guess so." she said lamely, not knowing what she was getting herself into. She knit her fingers tighter in his and waited for him to reach out and open the mysterious looking door.
Issac was happy she was laughing and enjoying the time she spent with him. Her laugh was magical to him! It was a laugh he would love to hear every day. Issac knew that she most likely had questions about who he was and all about his life. He didn't want to get into that quite yet, so he tried his best to ignore the subject. It was a bad part of him. Instead, he thought about her and what sort of life she lead. He was very interested in everything about her. About the things she had done, and wanted to do. The things she dreamed about, and all of her life. He was so excited to learn about her. Issac loved the feeling of her lips upon his. It was a rush he couldn't match. He had kissed a girl or two before, but it was nothing like this. Her kiss was fiery and lovely. He spoke up and said, "I'd like to point out, I really enjoy kissing you and will most likely keep doing it. So you might want to get used to it." With a wink, he moved on.
He was wondering when she would ask about that. He didn't really know himself, but he knew it did connect to his parents. He tried to make it simple so he would understand what he was saying. "Well, to put it simply, my mother was a fire elemental. And my father, whoever the bastard is, was air. At least, that's how I explain it." He said, stating it like it was third grade material. He had learned a long time ago about his fathers air ability. It was how his mother explained it to him, before her passing. He sent a silent prayer of thanks to his mother.
Issac grinned at her and realized her hand. He waved at her to step back. Once she had, Issac cracked his knuckles. He stood front and center of the door. He walked forward and found the handholds inside of the door. He turned the levers at the same time. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. With his power, he pushed flames out into one hand, and air into the other. The door reacted magically. Flames spread the left side of the door, through carved channels that made branches. The right side did the same with his air. The picture made a tree basin. He pushed and the doors opened wide.
Issac walked back over and grabbed Norah's hand. He ran quickly with her over to the area where he stayed. It was made up nicely with a bed, a small table, two wooden bookshelves and finally, his easel. An unfinished painting was left there. He searched the small area and finally, he pulled a giant bag from his bed. He pulled out two of his paintings. The first was of a tree. Half was alive and blooming, the other dead and decaying. It was a favorite of his, and knew it would sell. The other painting was the sky being filled with fire and air. It was swirling, and it as dangerous as it was beautiful. This would also sell quite nicely. He grabbed another bagged and stuffed them into it, strapping it unto his back. "Okay," he started with a smile, "I've gotten what I needed. Are you ready?"
