Wa salaam. One boook that's been very enlightening for me is Lantern of the Path by Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. Some of the metaphors in that book are absolutely beautiful. You can get it online on al-islam.org, actually. I can't recommend it enough. Has anyone else read it here?
Assalamu alaikum every one .. I liked the recommendation I may also take alook at it and come back :)
Thanks
Fatima

I am very Persian Sufism. Rumi is an icon for me. Before that I have read the Quran many times and I like the message of tolerance in Sufism.
Fact is there are many good books both by Sufis and about Sufism. The latest I've read is an unusual and fascinating account of a Westerner who studied with an Afghan Sufi master called, "Embattled Saints." Highly recommend it.
hi everyone
is there books that teach the path? I mean the dhlkr and meditation

Salam and welcome to the group. have you read healing power of Sufism - it's a Naqashbandi way of doing Dhikr. Let me know if you've read that book.
Assalamualaikum, welcome to the world of spirituality (Tasawwuf), Sufism is the internal way getting connected to the Almighty and it can only be achieved by surrendering the self and believing that every little thing in this world happens by the will of God.Glad to be here with the wonderful people around.
Feeamanillah!
Waslam and welcome to the group Suhail. Have you read any books on Sufism and which one would you recommend?
Assalamualaikum,, Peace to all brothers & sisters here.I'm from Malaysia, Sufism book (in English) are rare here, therefore I only read few translated ones. I do hope someone can share some resources they found online.
I love the very existence of this group. Alhamdulillah :)
Walaykumassalam dear Hariz please join Sufi litreture group on Facebook you can download hundreds of Sufi books in English.
Assalamualaikum. I'm Natasha from Singapore. I read Rumi's Masnavi One and can't find a better book that best describes divine love that is liberating & fulfiling. The intoxication of divine love actually sobers you up about the trickery that is the worldly life. Of course, Rumi is more eloquent than I when he explains this with every verse. Looking forward to meeting other like-minded people who would be open to sharing their favourite Rumi poetry or other Sufi books - Hafiz perhaps?
Waslam brother Waqas, welcome to the group. Would you share with us your experience and which Sufi master have inspired you.
Assalamualaikum everyone. Im a new member. my name is Suhendi from Indonesian. I like a Sufism book, please give me a recommended book about sufism.
Salam brother Suhendi, welcome to the group. Please go through the bookshelf on this group and let me know if you are interested in particular book.
I'll answer my own question (lol) for the info of others. The app is a touch limited and doesn't give you all the features. You can see all features such as the bookshelf in desktop mode as in on the website
Assalamualaikum to all,I'm reading Rumi translated by Jawid Mojaddedi (Book One). Before this, read Fihi Ma Fihi.
Salam everyone,It is fantastic to discover this group. Two book I recommend are Living Presence and The Knowing Heart by Mevlevi Shaikh Kabir Helminski.
Salam, fellow seekersI'm an Egyptian poet, increasingly drawn to the Sufi path. Here is an essay of mine on Seeking the Light Through Literature: https://www.worldliteraturetoday.org/...
