I agree with Annie. In my opinion, Rapture and Fallen were the best... I love the end of it... it was just so romantic <3

soooooo true the book passion had no passsion none of them did fallen was alright and i acually thought it was gonnah become good but unfortunatly it didnt
I have to disagree; I really liked Fallen, couldn't stand Torment, enjoyed Passion and loved Rapture. I will admit that I found Rapture hard to get into in the beginning, but by about half way through (maybe a bit more) i was really drawn in and half of the time could only put it down after realizing it was 12am and I had school the next day. I thought the ending was quite touching and really sweet. I thought she ended the series well, though I do agree that there was a lot going on in the book.
You know, if you really spend your time reading books you dislike, and have a long review.. Then you must have HELL of a lot of free time.Usually the person would stop reading after the first book. Not finish it to have the luxury of a shit review.
If you don't like the 'lack of physical contact' go to Fifty Shades of Grey, then. This is supposed to be made for something that's innocently romantic, not 'hey, I've known you for thousands of years. So while you're confused as fuck, I'm going to play with your feelings and have s** with you, just because if I do, you might disappear, but that's ok because I'll just wait again."
Rapture does not have too much going on, otherwise it would be interesting. The basic story is characters run from one place to another, collecting poitnless artifacts where only one of them is useful, and then run again to another place, and then run again to another place, and a stupid, pointless ritual happened, then they run to somewhere else, then big secret is revealed and then stupid ending happens. Ritual is stupid because they really didn’t need the cup, and ordinary cup will have done. And the woman sacrificed knew what was going to happened, that she prepared supplies and buried them at the site ages ago. Didn’t think to pick up some dark dye? Rather be all angst and make Luce kill her instead just to add drama and stupidity.
It does have too much plotholes and stupidity. And Luce really came off as completely selfish. Fair enough if she wants to be reborn but not to even considered that she be breaking her parents and best friend’s heart, not even crossing her mind that she put them through hell because they won’t know what happen to her. She saw what her disapperance did to past families and she wasn’t bothered. I disliked Luce after that.
And I really loved the first book, then it went downhill.
It wasn't that bad. The only thing that I didn't like was that they had to forget about their past lives.

Haha~ thanks :3

I don't like cam disappered either.....

Where it'll suck even more!!!! And Luce will come across as a selfish person.
I really should let this go, but I really love the first book and can't believe how bad the last book is....
oh my god dude whoever you are you totally opened my eyes to the truth! but hey it was better than the first three. so i gave it a 5 star rating. since it had MORE action to it. but still. hm. you made me think there Noor! i was so wrapped up in their happily ever after and the fact that they (Luce) had to live different lives every 16 (or was that 17?) years!! talk about a bummer!!! going through puberty once is enough for me thank you. but still. I thought their ending was good.
She was selfish because she didn't care about her parents or best friend. She saw the hell she caused on her past life sister, went back in time and saw her family mourn her, but not once did she think of the pain she'd cause her current family. It would have been fine if she at least asked for god to ease their pain or asked god to give her a chance to say goodbye to them. No, it would seem goodbyes only matter to her angel friends.

i know. i hope lauren decided to go another spin off series or something.
um...it wasnt my favourite in the series, but i loved the ending. i don't know...it was sweet. Just like how it ended in Mark of Athena
I liked Fallen, didn't mind Torment, couldn't stand Passion and liked Rapture. But i didn't like how it ended. I knew how it would end from the firat book in the series.
How much I liked each book was in direct ratio of how much Cam was in it. XDI'm sorry I couldn't stand this book. Reading it was literally like torturing myself but I had to finish it because I kept hoping it would get better. I've never been a fan of Daniel or Luce really but this was pretty ridiculous. The ending was so cheesy (and not in the good way. What happened to Callie? Or her parents? Did none of that matter to Luce? What about Miles and Shelby her other friends? She didn't even give any of that a passing thought when deciding!!! It was just like "Daniel means more to me then anything in the world! Who cares about my friends and family? I have my super-gorgeous boyfriend and that's all that matters!" It was like a quote out of the abused girlfriend handbook.
Sorry, if I offended anybody.
I love the series. But for Rapture, the story and the ending is just so disappointing that I regret buying the other 3 because with the ending and all...well, because of the ending, the story of the first three books made no sense at all.
Eh it's an opinion. I however loved the book. I kinda wish the ending was a tad bit different, but I think she ended it well. Loved it! :)

they were just expressing their opinion the same why you are with yours. If you disagreed, just skip that comment. (I'm not trying to offend you or anyone else)
I add: But I LOVED THE SERIES. :) Though the conclusion to the whole story was a bit short. Still, I salute Ms. Kate. :)
yeah the last book was really...boring. I agree with the whole Daniel is boring thing. Who could LOVE HIM!
Truth to say I loved it very much. One of the best books I have read and would definitely read it all over again.
I agree, that for some the book may have been boring or too long or without tension or whatever...For those you did not like the book: The book may be just a bit too complicated for you, especially the mythological stuff with all the Nephilim and archangels and Lucifer.
For me, it was finally a "round" story when I saw that the author knew what she was writing about. It was a pleasure to read it.
Besides, the ending could not have been better, I mean, it was finally something realistic, not that fairy tale ending ;)
I think the first book was amazing, dark (like the whole series actually) but amazing.
The second...well, sometimes Luce was pretty annoying but...yeah..It was the worst book of the series.
The third one was something new and it was beautiful to see how their relationship developed and painful to see Daniel watching her die over and over again.
And the fourth book was the magnificient ending. Ms. Kate answered all the questions and made the best out of the whole story.
At least, this is what I think :)
Oh my God, THANK U for saying it! I totally agree. These whole series were a complete waste of time.
I totally disagree with you here. If you read the series from the beginning, you would understand the terms like Nephilim and Outcast being used.Every author has a different style of writing. No two authors write in the same way. You can't expect Lauren Kate to write like JK Rowling (as an example). It just doesn't happen.
Besides, if you didn't like it, why continue reading it then make a review about it saying how crap the book was? I don't see the logic in that.
*Rant over*
People are so dramatic. This cannot be the "worst series ever", because trust me there are way worse. This story was so so so good. If you don't like the story, then stfu and go on with your life. Stop bashing on the author and being a douche. Kay! :)
And by the way, to the girl who wrote this post, please go back to school and learn proper grammar and how to spell. That crap is beyond annoying. Have a great day!
im conflicted... it was great the book but then the ending kinda pissed me off. It was sweet that they'll be together but they have to forget EVERYTHING that happened between each other. Thats sad but at the same time, they sacrificed everything for to finally be together.
and i do think you're over exaggerating it. ive read plenty books worse and this series was actually really good. you obviously dont know a good book if it were to hit you across the back of the head.
The last book was the worst of the series. The third reason is understandable, maybe not reasonable, but understandable. There was too much plot crammed into the book, however it was doable. If you hated the Fallen series so much why did you stick with it? Why waste your time over something that obviously produces such illogical anger and despair in you? Life is too short for crappy books.
The ending was wayyyy predictable! We all knew she would choose Daniel. There should have been a twist with the whole Lucifer thing but it was too obvious!
Well, i agree that the ending sucks no matter what. It was just that Lucinda didnt get to enjoy her wings. But Daniel and Lucinda are and always together.
My favourite books in the series were Fallen and Passion. To me, I think the ending was kind of a buzz kill or a let down. I was expecting a big epic battle or something, or at least a struggle or something, but nope! No such luck! :'(I did think the choice Daniel and Luce made was cute though, it took me a while to actually think that though. At first I was annoyed that they were just normal people!

1. It has too many stuff going on!
2. the words 'OUTCASTS, THRONE, Nephilim' pisses the cram outta me!
3. It's an utterly stupid excuse for Lucifer to erase the history; "I love you luce don't leave me!"
Luce: "No, i love Daniel the guy with blond hair and violet eyes!"
Lucifer: "Fine then! I'm going to Erase the history!
4. The way they are all muscly and so Awmerycun! And the way she 'judges a book based on its cover' is ARGH! I mean, Daniel is blond then he is a good boy but cam on the other hand has black hair and uses words that are not used by grandpas then he is a bad ass! Oh did I 4get to mention Lucifer an his 'Cold blue eyes' he's evel now!
5. She is always wrapped up in his (Daniel) wings!
6.The physical attraction is just not there! They kiss and that's it! No one and i literally mean no one in 'love' can resist their partner especially when they wre in love for 'ERAS' there must be lust and hunger somewhere, but no they kiss 'passionately' and that's it he pulls away and smiles! CHILDISH!
7.Cam is acting like a teenager unlike Daniel; "I may this I may that!" why can't he just use i can or i will or i could! i mean why act like grand daddy?
8. Arianne is just..... i have no words there!
9. All enemies become friends at the end why didn't he make Lucifer Daniel's friend i mean that's all what's left ryt? The plot sucks anyway!
And finally: The way she ends it makes us think that Luce is going to choose the 'Heads or Tails' boy aka Lucifer, but then we are all sure that if there as a fifth book she would always choose Daniel isn't that just too boring? If she chose Lucifer I would give the book at least 3 stars, but o it's just like Belle from twilight choosing the 170 years old(I don't really remember the age precisely) over Hawt and SWEATY 'hairy' Jacob! Let's face it guys: Luce is boring so she chooses Daniel who is bawwwwring over Lucifer or even Cam! Wake up Lucinda! The world doesn't revolve aroung boring guys who would never crack a joke! He never cracked a joke always kissing her forehead like loser he is! Conclusion? I HATE THE FALLEN SERIES! Keeping on giving it chances was the biggest mistake of the short journey of my life!
