I love writing book reviews. Because it feels like I work for Scholastic or the the ALA. it's been easy to remember what my friends recommend to me because I can just look up the book and save it
I have found goodreads helpful for ME AND MY READING FRIEND!!!!(My Brain:) ) for many reasons like recomendations and groups and exploring for many far off lands of books and mysterys. i have written 2 book reviews on "Mal and Chad" (My favorite series EVA) i have found other people's reviews very helpful for finding the books i love:Thx Jack :D
I have been able to find some good recomendations on good reads. I can easily find recomendations about good books and bad books. With good reads I don't have to spend as much time looking for books when I could be reading. When I find people who like different books than me I look at all of their recamendations and see if I think I might like any of the books that they like. With good reads I don't have to write down the books I have read I can just put them in my bookshelves.
On Goodreads I've been able to see what my friends like and interact with them by recommending and reading books from their library. I can help my friends out by recommending books for them or other series of books that the have never tried. I can read peoples reviews on books I could possibly read in the future and review books that maybe some of my friends will read in the future. Goodreads helps me in so many ways like if I forget about a book that I was going to recommend to someone I can just go onto My Books and see what it was, or if it was my friend who forgot I would just go onto his.
i like good reads because on the internet your supposed to interact. some people forget that and play games which is fine but you should spend some time on the internet with different people and i think that good reads really helps with that. i also think that its a great site because you can have friends, and get great book recommendations but the best of all is that you can review books without thinking that it's such a drag because i used to think that when i had to write my book reviews on paper and i think a lot of other people did too.i got a book recommendation and so i added it to my want to read list. to get my recommendations i went to the recommendation button at the top of the page. then i went to a button that said recommendations from users under community recommendations.
When i am using good reads, it is like a battery charger for me. it gives me time to collect myself, get some book recomendations, give some, and add to my long list of to-reads that is growing this very minute.i have recently found that the book 'truth (sort of)'had some good ratings, i found it in the classroom, and began to read it.i am very thankful for good reads, because, without it, I would be stuck with nothing to read!I definetly love how once you read a book, people see it, and give you recomendations. also, i like to see what other people are reading by checking their bookshelves. this is how i found the book 'the fourth stall' which is one of my favorites.i also use good reads to give ratings to my friends, they give me recomendatins, then we both have great books!thank you, good reads
The reason i like good reads is because its helps me know what i have read over the years and what books i have accomplished and disliked. I have used good reads for book recommendations. I went on my friends books to see what they are reading and what i should or should not read. Also i have found books on Mr Lewis's page. I have found good reads helpful because i can send some messages about books i read to my friends. And my friends have sent recommendations to me which i find helpful because i find a lot my books that i have really enjoyed.
What I like about good reads is that you can post what book your reading instead of having a reading log and writing what book your reading.
My personal opinion i love it I like how say an awesome book comes out but i forget to by it i can just log into good reads and say that was my book. i want to read it. I have read good reads reccomandations but i have not made any myself yet but i like how you get reccomandations for evey book i find goodreads helpful because you can rade good books so other people can enjoy the awesome books that you read and if there like idont know they can read reccomandations
i'm am in the middle of writing one. i think it is helpful for other people because it will tell you if a book is good or not. and it will help you choose the book that is just right for you.book reviews are more helpful than you think.
I like good reads because I think it is fun to get book recommendations that fit into my reading likes. For example, when I rated and wrote book reviews about the Hunger Games Trilogy, it gave me the recommendation of Divergent. I have read that book before and I absolutely loved it and I am itching to read it again. Sometimes the second time reading a book it is better. I use good reads by getting book recommendations by looking at my friend's bookshelves and seeing books that I think I would like or if a friend sends me a recommendation of a book they would think I like, it goes right into my bookshelf as a book to read so I can read it later or at least try it out.
I have not yet read anyone else's book reviews but I really want to. I think someone else's review would help me find the perfect book for me because other people's reviews will tell me what they did and did not like about the book so if they wrote about how they thought the book was a little slow and I want a book that is really easy to into or if the author used insanely big words and I want to read a book that has really easy words I know not to read that book.
I have written a couple reviews of books and I think other people will really know if they want to read the book. For example, I wrote a book review on Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson. I thought it was a great book except for the fact that the dog's tail was set on fire. If a reader does not like dog’s tail being set on fire, they might consider not reading Chains.
I also think Good reads is helpful because it organizes all the books you want to read, you read, and you are currently reading. I think this is a great way to organize books. For example, I created a bookshelf for all the Michael Phelps books I want to read. That is how else I find Good reads helpful.

I have always been bad at keeping track of the books that I am reading. Now that I have a Goodreads account, I can easily see what I've read recently and what books I love. Lots of times, people ask me if I have any book recommendations. Normally, I take a while and then still can't think of anything. Now I can just log on to Goodreads and "Voila!" i have all my recent books.
I sometimes find myself without a book. When Goodreads gave me recommendations, I went straight to the library and checked out 7 books. I loved them all! I kept rating books and keep getting better recommendations.
Normally, Goodreads doesn't have great summaries. When I look at reviews other people have written, it tells me more about the book, and sometimes summaries make the book look really good, but reviews say it's not a good book for kids, it has bad language, or vice versa.
I write reviews of my books because I know how helpful they can be. Even when I don't feel particularly strong about a book,if it has a bad summary I think it's helpful and nice to others to do that.
