L.A. Hilden (lahilden) | 106 comments When I read fiction, I find myself hoping the author throws in fascinating, true facts. Even in historical romance, which is what I read and write. Do you like to learn something when you read fiction?

Kate Loveday (kateloveday) | 26 comments Yes LA, I also love to read interesting facts about the places I visit in my reading. To me it lends a much broader dimension to a story. It also highlights the fact that you have taken the trouble to research properly, and i appreciate that. I also write historical romance, but set in Australia, so I understand the effort that goes into reseaching an era.

Darlene Jones (darlene_jones) | 153 comments I read a survey report that showed readers of fiction prefer novels that instruct in some way and I realized that's true for me too.

Ted Magnuson (tedmagnuson) | 12 comments This is true. As an author, I found the research into the time period of my story very informative. It is my hope readers will also find the facts helpful to them. The Bouchard Legacy
