Another Nicholas Sparks novel, just like “The Notebook” this story was based on a U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan returning from his third tour of duty in Iraq. Logan had found a photograph of a woman that he didn’t even know, he believes that picture saved his life. After an IED blows up his tank, he’s sent back home suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. That’s when he resolves to find the gorgeous woman. He discovered her name is Beth and where she lives, he shows up at her door and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel where she helped her grandparents. A romance develops between them, Beth became Logan’s good luck charm. The story and emotions brings you to tears.
i gave this book three stars because i had read The Notebook and to be honest nothing can really top that, i did find this book interesting but i would of loved for Nicholas ( the author ) to really have put much more emotion and much more sadness into this book because Logan had actually went through much more trauma.
“You should be kissed everyday, every hour, every minute.” - i thought that this quote was really cute, the meaning is that a woman should be treated with respect and be loved. Many of the boys dont care about a girl that they date now a days, this shows that someone will care enough to make your day a bit better by saying and doing the simplest things.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading Nicholas Sparks books and anyone whio likes Romance books mainly targeted girls.
