I just finished it, I really hated the obvious Christian influence but I liked the story and writing enough to ignore that annoying aspect. Its a good book, the fact that its such a quick easy read ( I read it in just over 24 hours...not read time but real time :)) wasn't a horrible thing for me either since I still have a stack of books I want to get through.
Forget the reviews, the message of this book is the most simplistic answer to the question of the passage of time... don't waste it!!!

So true Ladyacct!!!
*Ladyacct & Jocelyn: y'all are 100% right!*Paul: that's what I like about Albom's books... they're power-packed with Life's important messages, although his books are shorter than most.
This book turned me on to a new author. And may very well be one that I reread, which doesn't happen often. Do not let the reviews keep you away.

Mitch Albom is the King of Fantasy. His books always make me want to believe there is some truth to 'em because he's that good at making you feel as though the stories are real! He did a great job with this novel. I loved it! Did any of you read The Five People You Meet in Heaven! That was an outstanding book too!

Hey there Susan!! I have to admit, it took me a while to get into the rhythm of this book, once I did I began to appreciate what Albom was saying. One of my favorite books is "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", that's another reason I like "The Time Keeper", Albom can take a subject such as heaven, and or time and put a unique spin on something people are obsessed with. I don'r agree that the characters are cardboard, I feel the characters reflect the social ailments of our time. just watch the news, bullies, teenage suicide, the obsession with youth. Maybe this book wasn't written to win any prizes, but the message is timeless. D'oh,did I say that? ;D
I just love Mitch. He's an awesome writer. I'm glad, Joclyn, you like him just as much as I do! ;-)Joclyn wrote: "Kimberly wrote: "Mitch Albom is the King of Fantasy.
