Taylor sat by the edge of the lake, her lithe fingers intertwining themselves in the grasses that bordered the lake. She dangled her feet in the water and looked up above her to the spruce trees, and then beyond that to the gray, cloudy sky. Just then, snow started to fall all around her, enveloping her in its soft whiteness. She started to shiver, and then get cold, so she got down on all fours, made a squealing noise, and then she was a panda. All cozy and warm. She smiled to herself. She loved being able to shape-shift into a large, fuzzy, warm animal with lots of fat to keep herself warm. Which was ironic since Taylor in her human form was skinny and had almost no fat on her whatsoever. She hugged herself and curled up into a warm, fuzzy ball as the snow continued to fall all around her, the wind playing its song as it blew through the needles of the pine trees above. Taylor watched as some of the snow fell onto the lake and then stayed there for several seconds before disappearing under the surface, or being eaten by one of the fishes that inhabited the pond. Sometimes, she had to admit she wanted to be an aquatic animal, because before she had been sent to H.I.S.S., she had been on the swim team. And she had been one of the best swimmers on it too. She let out a soft, contented sigh though. She liked it here, even though first finding out she was a shape-shifter had taken quite a toll on her.
