Looking forward to settling in with The Swarm this week. I figure it can't get much scarier than an apocalyptic catastrophe. :)
I would love to get into The Walking Dead, Book One. However, I'm reading The Twelve, good one no?Next will be Left Neglected. After reading Still Alice I'm thinking this might be scary on another level?
Good readin!!
I'm noticing a bit of an apocalyptic trend with reading options at the moment...lets hope its not an omen for future events (not yet anyway, at least let me finish the Walking Dead first!)

In a vague attempt not to read my Walking Dead books yet (which I really don't want to do now that the start of the apocalypse for which we are all preparing is set to start when I finish them all) I've started Anno Dracula: The Bloody Red Baron by Kim Newman instead which combines the horrors of Dracula with the horrors of war so rather apt for the approach to Halloween I feel :-)
Well, I was going to start Death Comes to Pemberley, but now I'm thinking I may read The Knife of Never Letting GoThe Knife of Never Letting Go as it seems a bit more of a Halloween season read. We'll see. I haven't been doing much reading the past few days. Thurs. I went with my SILs to the Oakland Museum for their 1968 exhibit which was really fascinating.

I've also managed to keep The Walking Dead Books 4 and 5 unread so looking forward to diving into them tomorrow night, complete with Halloween candles, treats and quite possibly a bit of fancy dress!

I've never read it before and I thought that it would be the perfect time to do it. :)

In that case I hope you enjoy, it's one of my favourites and is perfect for Halloween :-D
For a quick last read for Halloween, I re-read my friend Doug's book: The Q Guide to Classic Monster Movies. It's a really good guide to all those old monster movies of the 30s, 40s & 50s. Reminds me of some of my faves & of some I'd like to see. I highly recommend it. Now I'm finally starting The Knife of Never Letting Go - I just couldn't get in the mood for it earlier.
Well I managed to save The Walking Dead, Book Four and The Walking Dead, Book Five for Halloween and managed to read both of them on the night in question and they were both superb and well worth the wait :-D
