I have withdrawal symptoms.

After recently finishing The Twelve after waiting what seemed like forever for this book I now find myself at a dead end.

I am a sucker for trilogies - especially based around the unfortunate situation of an apocalypse - mainly because 3 books gives you enough time to fully sink your teeth (pardon the pun) into the world the author has created. After they're over I'm usually found staring at things, wondering what could of been and end up stubborn and picky about what to read next.

I need your help.

I have listed below what I am thinking of reading next...any opinions or additions welcome!

Wastelands
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
Swan Song
Cat’s Cradle
Unwind

We've all been there. Help me get out of the limbo... I NEEDS ME A NEW BOOK!!!

Unwind and UnWholly are absolutely brilliant!! More similar to The Hunger Games though. I highly recommend them! I have Swan Song on my Kindle, will be reading it soon :-)

Anna I worked up to "like" half way through Wold War Z but definately loved the end. You should maybe try "The Strain" series. Loved it from page one. ...more

Tina yep, the "Strain" is a good series to read after "The Twelve" and the series is all out, so you can read them back to back. Another good story! ...more

Hated World War Z. Loved Unwind-getting UnWholly next. Just finished The forest of Hands & Teeth, liked it a lot, but very quick read, nice retreat. Might be good to do a light read before getting consumed with something heavy. Twelve is on my list. I just re-read book 1 & 2 of the Birthmarked Series & Book 3 that just came out. I highly recommend them, they they are NOT zombie books.

I'm currently reading Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End. I am loving it- so hard to put down. I also really loved Wool, although it's a different kind of Apocalypse/dystopia story. I, Zombie is an interesting book, as well, told from the zombies' perspectives. Definitely worth a read. :)

If you've never read Cat's Cradle, read it NOW!!! Fabulously funny & enjoyable book
