I can't Wait for the Winter Olympics!

I AM!!!

ME TOOOOOOOOO! I follow some of the Bobsleigh and skeleton BobSledders on Twitter. Some of them are very kind follow me back. Did you watch the world championships? I was so proud as two of the British team who have bought one of my books took medals! I have the autograph of one of them and my picture taken with her. Can you imagine how thrilling that made it? It's fascinating to follow them all on Twitter as it gives you a real glimpse behind the scenes. This is the first year I've been able to see much Bobsleigh as it isn't shown widely on British TV. I got an iPad and installed British Eurosports! It ain't great at sticking to the schedule but I did get to see some of the races at least. I actually installed a countdown clock to Sochi on one of my Blogs. And before that - don't forget the World Championships athletics in Russia. I can't go to that (I did to London 2012) but I am going to the British Trials in July. Can't wait for that either.

Is anyone getting excited now Sochi is nearly upon us? I've been watching the skeleton and bobsleigh World Cup races, where they are trying to attain Olympic selection level. Can you imagine skeleton? 70-80 mph, headfirst, battling those g-forces, chin about an inch off the ice, on what is little more than a teatray? Who's got the guts for that? Not me!
