In my Realistic fiction book Blood is thicker By Paul Langan Hakeem has been going through a lot of things at home; Father was Diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and now he had to share a room with his moody cousin,Savon. Hakeem dosent really have a joy in his life,Its no joy for a father be with kidney cancer and everybody is counting on him to be the man of the house and for him to be leaving his friends and family in Chicago. Its even worst now that his family can not afford the house they live in;Hakeem was willing to share a room with his twin sisters so they can save money but they just cant. They are moving to Detroit now with Hakeems uncle and now he has to share a room with his Moody and quiet and secretaive cousin Savon.
I belive that maybe towards the end of the book something good would happen so then there would be a joy to Hakeems life. I assure you or should i just say i assure that this book and also Hakeems life will get better.
In my realistic fiction book, Just Listen, by Sarah Dessen, my protagonist's life has been pretty okay so far. So far, aside from the troubles at high school, issues with Sophie, and home troubles with one of her sisters, Whitney, Annabel finally found her joy. Her most favorable joy is being with Owen. Owen is the guy she hangs out with everyday at lunch and after school. Every time they see each other, its either negotiating about music, Owen's favorite topic, or talking about Owen's annoying 13-year old sister. This is so Annabel's joy. Listening to different kinds of music really makes Annabel very happy. "Before I could answer, there was a bang of cymbals......, but I just couldn't help myself:I presses my palm's over my ears.... Owen's eyes widened, and I realized what I had done" This quote shows that Owen is very obsessed with music and he doesn't want anyone else to contradict it. Annabel, on the hand quickly apologizes to Owen and explains why she covered her ears. This relationship is going on pretty well. In the previous chapter, they actually kissed each other.

Finn had found the key, and was happy, but he also needed to keep it safe because dangerous things are happening because someone knows that he wants to escape and is trying to make it not happen. It is trying to make them loose the key that they found.
In Patricia McCormick's non-fiction book Never Fall Down, the main character is Arn and he is in great danger in the book. In every book, there is always a time where the protagonist has some joy. Different from others, Arn seems to have a very short joy of time in the book as of now. Arn was in Cambodia when he heard the news announced that his country had ended war, he was very proud to hear the news. But then, the next second. they found out the Americans had a bomb to come and destroy the town. Arn and his family get caught by a group of soldiers and they forced them to work hard on the farm. Many had trouble and they realized they were slaves. Arn didn't have joy at all. One day, the leader asked if anyone wanted to be part of a band and so they didn't need to work hard on farm. On page 29, " This time, the high-ranking Khmer Rouge guy says, "Who can play music?" No one, not one kid, make a move. He says there will be a new music troupe, a band to play songs. And dancer , too. " This quote was said by Khmer Rouge and he was trying to find some of the workers to play music for the glory of Angka. If the music wasn't good, the band would be killed quickly. Arn was tired of working and instead thinking music was easier. That was the moment of joy in Arn's time of the book. All he had to do was play music instead of working outside. Arn enjoyed his joy a lot and even played good music for the glory of Angka. Therefore, Arn enjoyed his joy of playing music in hard times even fighting for death or life.
