And it's a huge part of my obsession with comics. I love bringing home those little works of art each month.

The Fatale covers are all just gorgeous. They're the whole reason I picked up the trade.

This one reminds me of the villain in the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie.

Lela, are you into any particular photographers? I love Annie Leibovitz, Pamela Hansen, Ellen von Unwerth, Sheryl Nields. I don't know why I can only think of women right now. I do like male photographers too!

The Fables cover with Hansel and witches looks sick! I gotta get that on a poster. Y the Last Man got some of my favorite covers too. I love that one with Yorick in chains and a gas mask.

Speaking of covers, I was really annoyed at the inch of advertisement for Arrow at the top of my DC comics this month. Messed up several of my nice covers. ;(

Ugh, stupid computer. I have to look at my tiny phone to see the pics right now.

Chimney, that Punisher War Zone cover is awesome. It looks, I don't know, traumatic. Love the eye inside the target especially.
The Babies cover is hilarious. Baby Gambit! Baby Thor! Even Cyclops, who annoys me, is cute. Gotta get that.


Kay, I adore Kabuki and David Mack. Everything he does is just beautiful.
I love the look of Mumbai Confidential too, just gorgeous, gonna check that one out. That Walking Dead cover is great. Is that zombie committing suicide?!
Hansel looks like some whacked out Puritan drowning women. I thought that cover was very edgy, even a little risky to put out. Same thing on the Last Man cover, where he's in chains.

Lela, the Good Prince covers had an almost religious vibe to them. I loved all those. The one you posted looks like a baptism.

That Fall Out cover is beautiful.

If I had to pick an absolute favourite (it'd be one and the same for covers and inside art) it'd be Jeff Lemire. I absolutely love his art, and its like nothing you've seen in a comic before. The way his art married with his writing style is what makes it so outstanding.

Anything in particular by Jeff Lemire? I've heard of him but can't place him, well without looking him up. So yes, I'm being lazy by asking.

@ Anna- I am with you on the Scartlet series. I have been waiting oh-so patiently for book 6! The art and story is amazing.... Have you come across The Red Star?... just started reading it. Beautifully written and illustrated

Chimney, the most recent Hawkeye cover was so cute I almodt bought it just for the art. It's the "I Love Hawkeye" cover.

They really are. I think I'll buy the trade. I keep hearing good things about it.

I like these new Daredevil: End of Days covers. They're so wonderfully morbid. :)

I didn't buy the single issues *because of the inside art. Don't like it much either. I'm itching to own these covers though. I might buy them anyway.

It sounds interesting at least. I'll try it out.

This is my new favorite artist, Jenny Frison. I discovered her through Revival and I love all her covers.

Just saw the Flash. I like that one.

The ones that I've really enjoyed -- just off the top of my head -- are Jhonen Vasquez's I Feel Sick #1 and I Feel Sick #2. Along with Steamcrow's Monster Commute and Nil: A Land Beyond Belief by James Turner.

LOL, I'm not at all surprised. :) I thought that one was very interesting for a mainstream comic.

In general we don't have anything very graphic here because some members are under 18. You could post recommendations in the Manga threads but not any graphic pics.
