I have also read the book several times, but of course without the Craftlit twist. I am so thankful that Heather puts this out for us. I get so much more from her background details. So far (again) loving it.
I just watched the 1996 movie version with William Hurt and Charlotte Gainesbourg http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116684/.Not my favorite version but not bad. The two leads were passable and the scenery was pretty. I thought the dialog seemed disjointed sometimes, like they were quoting from the book but not quoting the whole passage. Fiona Shaw did a fabulous job as Mrs. Reed. I was delighted to see Amanda Root as Miss Temple. She is my favorite Anne Elliot. Also, bonus: Billie Whitelaw (who played Grace Poole) played Madame Defarge in a production of A Tale of Two Cities!
