"In this thread, everyone will post their reviews/opinions of the book they have read this week AFTER you rate/review it on your page. The purpose of this is so everyone can see what you read this week and read your review without having to visit each profile. Some of you have their profiles locked, so this saves you the trouble of unlocking it.

ANY COMMENTS THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO THAT MATTER WILL BE DELETED.

The format will be like this:

Name of book.
Author.
n/5 stars.

"Your simple opinion/extended review/one word that expresses what you thought of the book. GO CRAZY! Anything counts. Don't feel pressured."

Link to your review.

Also, this allows us to be organized, so even if a member didn't log in for about a month, they can add the book they've read to the appropriate thread.

THANK YOU ALL!

EDIT:
As I've mentioned in the guidelines, one word or a simple opinion counts as a 'review'. I only called it that because Goodreads calls it that."

Now let's see your achievements, awesome people.

The Buddha in The Attic

3/5 stars

The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka

I did like it. I did like the writing, but still. I loved the idea of narrating the hard life Japanese faced in those days.

It was actually an interesting book, but boring. It's far away from being a page-turner. The sequence was actually boring but easy to follow.

I've read a lot of articles and watched lots of videos that talk about the Japanese immigration back in those days and I would recommend this to anyone interested in that subject.

Book: Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
Author: Rachel Cohn
Genre: Young Adult, Fiction, Chick-Lit
Finished Date: 28.Oct.2012
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Review:

≈ This was such a huge disappointment for so many reasons. On top of those reasons are the really unrelatable MCs. It began in what looked like a really good and enjoyable story but it moves downward before you get to the middle. When I knew I couldn't care less for these people, I knew I had to stop reading. ≈

Little Face (Spilling CID, #1) by Sophie Hannah
Book: Little Face
Author: Sophie Hannah
Genre: Fiction, Mystery, Psychological Thriller
Finished Date: 01.Nov.2012
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Review:

≈ I liked the beginning of the series. I was skeptic about it being "that" good but it was really good as you near the end. My complaint is the very confusing narrative. I am new to Sophie Hannah books so this shift was frustrating to get used to but at the end I did. ≈

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved this one. The beginning was brilliant, and I like that we finally get to understand a few mysteries that had been confusing me in the previous installments.
