Kristy Fowles Hey,
I was wondering if anyone that read the book already if there is sex in it and if so how explicit. I haven't read it yet, by my 11 year old sister wants to read it with me in a book clubish kind of way. Would it be appropriate for her?
Thanks

Madison Leigh I'm pretty sure, 98% sure they never have sex.
and the scenes where they're kissing aren't too bad.

marie Just finished it and no sex.

Kristina nope, no sex, but they do hint at it in the epilogue.

Wendy none, which i find extremely disappointing

Annie sigh... none

Wendy Annievista wrote: "sigh... none"

lol, thats just how i felt!

Brynne There are only a few innuendos. And they do hint at it a lot.

Why not?? It's a great book!

jajajaja I'll read it just to see how it ends... but I am disspointed I mean I know it's YA, but.... the way things where between them at the end of Silence I was hoping for at least a hint of something more you know??

Oh okay. Just didn't want you to miss out. That was what I was thinking also.

Wendy yeah I agree it's like it got more tame the more the books went on...I mean it is worth reading because its the close of the book but I think this one was more about the action than the romance between them...I wish it had been more if a balance between action and the steamy romance

NO! there isn't any sex in it but i really WONTED PATCH AND NORA TO GET TOGETHER AS IN SEX GET TOGETHER!!! WHY CANT BOOKS JUST GO OUR WAY!!! WHHHHHHYYYYY

Libbie I am seriously shaking my head right now.

Jennifer Dupriest I wouldn't let my little sister read it, although they don't have sex~Nora and Patch do make little references that may seem a little bit inappropriate for a little kid. Patch says he wants her in HIS bed. Also the ending hints that they will.

Annie Cecilia wrote: "OK i AM SO not reading it."

Why! Just cuz it doesn't have sex doesn't mean it's not totally awesome!!!!!

Libbie Annievista wrote: "Cecilia wrote: "OK i AM SO not reading it."

I'm with you. I seriously don't get how that would even factor in.

of course I am reading it :) I did not read the others just to back out on the last one, but... seriously.. after everything that's hapeened and having a really strong attraction between them and after the "make out" session on the last book.. it was kind of expected, if not mandatory for them to be toguether like that.. obvious to say I know its YA, but they could have gotten a cute, well written pg rated scene.. at least :)

I totally agree with you, and even thought it was a let down, it was enjoyable. VEE GOT MARRIED!!!!

Brynne And technically Patch and Nora are married. =)

Annie Brynne wrote: "And technically Patch and Nora are married. =)"

Exactly!

Brynne I love how they don't need a big wedding to tell them that they are married, they just swear an oath because their love is real!!! Patch and Nora Forever!!!!!!

AGREED

Talia Zacarias *****SOME SPOILERS*****

It is awesome that their marriage was simple and i thought it was cool that it was done in a blood oath, but when their blood mixed and patch was finally able to feel her I'm over here thinking OH MY GOSH an awesome love scene next!!!! they were married and i was prepared for an emotional and epic love scene since patch hasn't felt sensation his whole life and nora was a virgin it would've been perfect!!! We would have seen them feel everything together for the first time! but....No we got an epiloge that was three years later and about a wedding that i really didn't care for and at the very end only hinted that they were gonna have sex. sigh........ it could've been so much better... oh well, i loved the books anyways just a sliver of disappointed at the end.

Jordan In the book Silence, I believe, when Nora's at Patch's place and she sleeps in his bed and he sleeps on his couch I was like.....This is totally unbelievable, and I'm all for saving yourself but I mean they can't even sleep in the same room?! But they can get married 3 months later or whatever? Weird.

Madeline Dyer Jordan wrote: "In the book Silence, I believe, when Nora's at Patch's place and she sleeps in his bed and he sleeps on his couch I was like.....This is totally unbelievable, and I'm all for saving yourself but I ..."

Yeah, I know what you mean! At first, when that scene started (with them sleeping in different rooms) I kind of thought it was cute, but then I was REALLY sure that he was gonna sneak back into his room to be with her. I really wanted that to happen, even if they didn't actually sleep together...

Aleah They did had sex at the end since they were taking each other's clothes off. They were united (basically married) way before Vee got married to this British guy. It wasn't explicit, but they had sex at the end.

Meghan @Aleah do they really? I don't remember that part, though I really wish I could!! Like everyone, I wish they had a love scene, even if it was, like, PGed. Really, Mrs. Fitzpatrick, you left us all wanting!!! :(

Aleah Meghan wrote: "@Aleah do they really? I don't remember that part, though I really wish I could!! Like everyone, I wish they had a love scene, even if it was, like, PGed. Really, Mrs. Fitzpatrick, you left us all ..."

They had sex at the very end. Like, they were taking each other's clothes off at the very end and they were married so we all know what that leads to lol.

Aleah I really wanted a steamy scene since they were happy together, married and it was their first time so I wanted some action jajas.

Summer Yaxley Aleah wrote: "I really wanted a steamy scene since they were happy together, married and it was their first time so I wanted some action jajas."

Same here!! :P

Mary-Joy Hutch no its very safe

Mary-Joy Hutch its up to your imagination why explain it?

Jacquelyn They kind of beat around the bush about it. They don't in the actual books, Patch is a true gentleman in that way, but they do talk about it a couple of times (At age 11 though I think that's totally fine because she may not completely understand it yet.)

Mimi-loves-her-books! They give you a hint of a sex scene at the very end.

Sarah Omg-books-are-my-thing! wrote: "They give you a hint of a sex scene at the very end."

Yeah in the end when Patch said "I undress to impress"
Lucky Nora!!

Sabrien Abdelrahman It ends on a sex scene, it just isn't descriptive. It only tells you were the two go.

Sasha Hey, it's a YA novel after all. The kisses in the book are steamy enough! And I was dancing with the book at the "I undress to impress" comment. Finally!!!
Love the book <3
