The Walking Dead: Book One, is the first 12 chapters of the Walking Dead series. This series covers the life of protagonist Rick Grimes, As he awakes from a coma to a world of chaos. Before his coma, Rick was a deputy at King County Sheriff's department in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Rick has a wife named Lori and a son named Carl. Rick awakes months later to a world much different from the one he left behind, and when he leaves the hospital that has held him..He sees how much the world has really changed. The world is in an apocalyptic state were the dead have come back to life and threaten the existence of the living. Rick fights his way through these creatures and seeks to find the remains of the life he knew before. Along his journey rick overcomes many problems of the new world and he is also surprised to find his family intact. After finding his wife and son with help of other survivor's, they struggle together to build hope in a otherwise hopeless world.
