What made you decide on writing your on book and/or decide to read books as a hobby?

For myself, I discovered James Patterson about ten years ago. I decided to read, Kiss the Girls, and I have never looked back. as a result, I read all of his novels and other crime/mystery novels. In addition, I decided to expand my horizon so I began reading other genres from authors such as Nicholas Sparks, Jackie Collins, Mitch Albom, and Mario Puzo.

Since i love to read and I read many books throughout a year, I decided to write my very own novel, Killer Rumors. I admire James Patterson's writing style, therefore, my novel has a similar style as his. Plus, it's a very easy read with lots of descriptions on the characters and settings.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Antonello

Yes- Kiss the Girls, Along Came a Spider, and now playing in theaters, Alex Cross. I truly enjoyed both novel and movie versions. I recommend them.

Giulia Napoli | 3 comments For me - I had a story in me that had to get out. Since I write erotica, I'll admit to being turned-on by some of the things I created. [blushing]

I'm a journalist, so I write for a living anyway (well, part time - I don't know if you could make a living writing anything, unless you were Stephen King or a writer of a blockbuster movie). But fiction is so much more fun and exciting.

So I just finished a full-length novel (and had a baby), and thought I'd take a break. But I have this idea for an erotic, time-travel romance ...

Hi Giulia,
Thank you for sharing. Once we have an idea of a story, we tend to write the ideas/plots down, so that we won't forget about them. That is why I always carry a pen and paper with me. I tend to get new ideas for a story, regardless where I am. And then we work from from there. Before we know it, we pretty have the plot to our forthcoming story.
That is the beauty of writing a story- imagination is the foundation of a great story.
