Ryder walked inside, Saskia in tow. He headed for the front desk, paid for one round and looked to her.
Slipping her own money onto the desk and paying, she looked up at him. "Well, sweet cheeks, ready to be normal teenager then?" she said wryly.
"Yep." Ryder grabs a vest and goes to the entrance. He drops his bag into a locker, slipping a dollar into the machine to lock it and pulls on the vest. "You're going down!"
Saskia laughed as she put her bag away in a locker and picked up a vest. "Do you think I'm not going to put up a fight?"
"Maybe you will, but I'll still win." Ryder counters, playfully pointing his gun at her.
"Oh I wouldn't be so sure, sunshine," she said cheekily, darting in ahead of him.
Ryder followed her into the dark, ducking behind a wall. He peered over the top and reached over to shoot her.
Saskia gasped indignantly and darted off round a corner. She pressed herself against a wall, waiting for him to come round so that she could shoot him.
Ryder whipped around the corner, looking for Saskia, not aware that she was just behind him. He spun, facing her seconds too late.
Saskia grinned and shot him. "See, Sunshine, not too rusty," she said, skipping away.
((Trying to work out what awful thing can happen... it's not laser tag unless something goes wrong... :') ))

((young juvie cops happen to be playing??))
"I guess not!" Ryder calls as he vaults over an adjacent wall.

((Ahah just casually))
Saskia jumped when she saw him vault over the wall. "Seriously, sweet cheeks, this is laser tag, not army training!" She laughed and spun round the side of the wall. She stopped stock still. "Oh shit, here we go..."

Ryder had froze , standing in front of the many others. "Well, hello, I guess we aren't the only ones here."
((Are they in disguise.))
((Are they in disguise.))
((Disguise sounds good))
Saskia looked at him. "No shit, Sherlock." She looked back to the group in front of them. She instinctively pulled down her sleeves and began to back away, her eyes trained on two men, a few years older than them, who looked like they were more than a little rough round the edges.

Ryder forces a laugh. He can feel Saskia's unease and it affects him too. Ryder looks up and grins, shooting one in the chest, then turning.
Saskia tried to keep a light expression. She pretended to shoot a few and then went on to keep moving, following Ryder round the other side. She didn't need to look over her shoulder to know that the two men she had seen were following them. Her chest was tight and she felt tense, uneasy.
Ryder darted around a corner, pulling Saskia with him. He turns her to face him. "We both know who they are." When she opens her mouth, Ryder keeps talking, "Don't argue! We need to get rid of them, but a full out run invites a full out chase. Our best bet is to slip away." He meets her eyes, his burning bright.
She caught his gaze and saw his eyes burn bright. The panic on her own face was clear to see but the twinkle in her eye and her racing pulse showed what she thought of the trouble ahead. "Living teenage life to the full, we are," she said, pulling her vest over her head. "Bags. How are we gunna get them back?"
Ryder let out a stream of muffled curses. A man runs around the corner. "I'll figure it out. Rendezvous at the place we met." Then he turned around and sprinted away, hoping to the high power that these cops didn't know.
Saskia slipped the other way, aiming to get into the shadows and make it out through the fire exit. She could hear the sound of heavy footsteps and cursed, picking up the pace.
Ryder shrugged off his jacket, dropping the gun with it in favor of a box of matches and a switchblade. This might get him well known, but it might also make them safe. As he darted back to the front, dodging guys, he struck a match, then another, and another. He dropped them into a pile of cloth vests and blew until they caught. He did a few more until he had a nice blaze going. He held the not burning end of the pile and dragged it to black the entrance. Then he jumped over it and went to the lockers.
Saskia could smell burning. She could smell smoke. The fire alarm went and she swore, figuring this was Ryder's idea. She coughed as the smoke got thicker, and the sound of the man's footsteps behind her became muffled as all other players ran to the exit. She quickly switched directions and headed for the staff door, ramming herself against it to get it to open. Slipping through, she found herself in a small control room which she ran out of into the back hallway.
Ryder ducked, fanning smoke from his face. Something else had caught, and quicker than he had expected. He looked around, catching sight of the lockers. Ryder pulled his shirt over his nose and picked the locks quickly; he had dropped the keys. In a fluid motion he slung the bags over his shoulder and ran.
Saskia sprinted down the hallway, coughing from the smoke. The fire alarms rang loudly. Seeing an open window, grabbed the latch and pulled herself up, slipping through the window out onto a back street. She didn't stop running as she headed for the old mall. Ignoring the stitch in her chest, she listened to her pumps slap on the pavement as she headed down the street.
((Shall put her back at the mall))
((Shall put her back at the mall))
((Gotchya))
Ryder coughed, but swung out the door, narrowly avoiding a lick of flames. He didn't need more burns now, just speed. He raced across the street, then back down the road, ignoring the ash that covered his face and hair.
