I am still waiting.

I am still waiting.
Yep, go at your own pace. I'm usually behind anyway...hence the reason I'm finally posting at 2:45 am :) Just watch out for spoilers!
So through chapter 7...I offially love this book! I really hope it continues like this. I love all of the characters. I love, love, love Ryan. Taryn's fun, self-sufficient, pretty level headed. I also love Taryn's friends. Yes, I have a good feeling about this book. What are you thinking?
BTW...I didn't realize how freaking long this book was! 668 pages!!

Favorite quote so far:
“Who are you all going to gossip about once the
celebrities leave town? You’ll need to find someone else to talk about.” I couldn’t help but laugh.
“We’ll just talk about you, Tar. We’ll sit around and reminisce about how much fun you used to be
while using the cobwebs growing between your legs to knit hats for the poor!”

I have no idea what chapter I'm on. I'm reading it on my phone and I can't tell what chapter I'm on.
I am liking this book, too. Taryn is strong and selfsufficient but also cautious about putting her heart on the line again. I am enjoying the playful interaction between Taryn and Ryan.
I'm picturing Ryan Gosling as Ryan.

Leigh, if it helps, the end of chapter 7 is about 20%, chapter 14 is about 40%, chapter 21 is about 60%, chapter 28 is about 80%...rough estimates.
I didn't get through my whole reading yesterday, but I should be able to catch up today. Where are you at in it Leigh? I still like it...I love Ryan so much :)
BTW-I don't think I'm going to read Crewel. I'm just not super excited about it and there are other books I'd rather read. I do have Bitterblue, though, so if you still want to read that one we can whenever you have it.

Can we read
or
next then
I just downloaded

I think that's about where I am...right around 30%. I don't have Blood & Starlight or Where She Went yet. I'm on the waiting list for both. I'm next in line for both, though, so hopefully I should have them soon.

Do you have
or
? I have to read Grave Mercy next so I need to do an audio books. All the ones I listed I have on audio.

I liked the book. Although there was something kind of teenagery about it. Maybe it was to girly for my taste but I definitively like the story of the book. And my fave part was the song! OMG it was really moving! I'll be reading the second book next ans hopefully it will be a lil bit better.
I am liking the book but having a hard time reading it. I have to read it either on the computer or my phone. Neither one of those are convenient. I prefer my Nook or even a physical book. I can read quicker that way.
How about Wicked Appetite? I have never read anything by her.

Is that because it's a Kindle book? I used to read on my iPod before I got my Kindle. I didn't mind it too much but after a while the screen would hurt my eyes. I didn't get any reading done yesterday. I hate days like that...I did get a couple chapters of listening to Daughter of Smoke and Bone in. I really, really love that book :) I'm going to have to buy it I think.

I will have to see if the library has it. The movie looked good.

I usually can convert my Kindle books and put them on my Nook. For whatever reason, this book would not allow me to convert it. I find it more convenient and comfortable to read on the cough. I am also spending time trying to pick up where I left off form the computer to my phone. It is a pain and waste of time.
I loved
, too!!! I am so happy that I have a copy of it on audio. It is also why I had to buy

The movie was good.
The movie was good.
Ok...super busy week so I'm really far behind on reading. I will definately be finishing this weekend though.
Hate Suzanne and Franchesca. And what's with Ryan grabbing Taryn's ass all the time. Seriously, I would so turn around and punch him!

Now Taryn is getting on my nerves a bit. I understand that if I were dating a mega hot movie star (hmmm...daydreaming) I'd be jealous of him being in pictures with other girls or whatever. But Ryan has never once asked her about her past or how many guys she's had sex with, and she's getting jealous/upset everything. Like finding the condoms...seriously? He's young, single, hot, has girls everywhere. I'd be more worried if he wasn't carrying condoms.

I hate them, too. I can't stay when someone grabs my butt.

She has become a little too insecure. He seems sincere about his feelings so her issues are getting on my nerves.

Have you finished this yet? I'm hoping to finish up tonight. I really love the story, but there are a couple of things that are annoying me. Mostly Taryn and her whole not good enough attitude.
I like Ryan's family. They were fun.

Yeah, I think the whole book talk about that. And because if in her POV we had to suck it up!! I wonder if now that there engaged this stupid mentality is going to keep up or get worse!

I'm not finished yet. This book is taking me forever to finish.

Here are my final thoughts. I will be writing a review up tonight or tomorrow…
I really loved the story and the characters. Ryan and Taryn (for the most part) were super fun, plus Taryn's friends. Ryan was so sweet. I like that Taryn was strong and independent. The book was maybe a bit predictable at times, but there was still enough unknown to keep me reading.
There were two things that bothered me about the book.
1. Taryn's whole I'm not good enough act…over and over and over. It got old and really tiring, especially towards the end when (view spoiler) . I get that he was rich and famous and good looking and she had been hurt in the past, but geez, get over it already! Her wining drove me crazy.
2. There were so many parts in the book that could have been cut out and not changed the story. It would have definitely helped with the length of the book. Some examples:
-Taryn's part with the kids. What did those two parts give to the book? Showing kids like her…who cares?
-Angelica. In my opinion she really did not serve her purpose. I get that she was supposed to show that some of Ryan's fans were crazy, and she did to an extent, but after she was arrested the author didn't need to bring her back. I just do not think she brought much to the story after that.
-The food poisoning at the lake. What did that bring to the story besides showing Ryan would take care of her. That was already proven in other ways throughout the book so there really was no point.
I could probably find a couple more, but I think that's good for now :)

As for the next book in the series...I can't decide whether or not I want to read it. Normally when I give a book 4 stars the next book is a must, but after reading the book description it just sounds like a lot of the same. If it's just going to be more of Taryn's insecurities, people trying to break them up, etc., I really am not interested.
I'm adding another thing that could have been left out...the stained glass. Was there a point to it?
