Mia ran in just as the bell rang. She ran a small hand through her tousled, ebony hair, smoothing it as she got ready her notes.
Tristan ran in immediately after Mia. He sighed in relief and sat beside Mia, taking out his notes. Tristan noticed the crease in his shirt and straightened it, fixing his tie and hair along the way.
Mia squeaked as Professor Sinistra called her up to project a hologram of the chart depicting the celestial bodies. Mia bit her lip hesitantly, eyes intent at a certain spot before murmuring a spell. Immediately, a faint buzz was heard as a hologram appeared, following the professor's intended instructions.
Tristan's head snapped up at the buzz and he gazed at the hologram, scrutinizing the celestial bodies with his keen eyes.
Professor Sinistra explained in great detail about the bodies of space. "Close your eyes, my dears. Picture the solar system and bring to me the exact weight of Saturn." Mia's long eyelashes fluttered shut, thinking closely. A few moments later, she wrote the answer neatly and closed her eyes again, resting her head against Tristan's shoulder.
Tristan closed his eyes, his back ramrod straight against the chair's back. He felt Mia's head rest on his shoulder, which momentarily disrupted his thoughts, but he once again picked up his train of thought after a moment. He scribbled the answer down and said softly,"I know that this is really off topic, but what did you smell in your Amortentia in Potions?"
Mia blushed before murmuring,"Y-You...."
Tristan blushed and asked curiously,"You know what I smell like?"
"What do I smell like then?", Tristan prompted, curious to know.
"Parchment, cologne, and ironed Oxford shirts," Mia recited.
"Well... I guess your Amortentia was pretty good then, seeing that I do use parchment, a milligram of cologne, and I do wear ironed Oxford shirts... Unless another boy also does that", Tristan said smiling.
Tristan smiled and said,"You're beautiful. I didn't need Amortentia to know who my infatuation was, because she's right here, beside me"
Mia swallowed, blushing beet red.
Mia shook her head, squeaking nervously.
Mia relaxed, though the blush on her cheeks was unmistakably adorable. "Oh....er...she s-said she smelled you and some girl named Jaz since she didn't harbor any intimate feelings for anyone."
Mia nodded distractedly, seeing the Professor walking around to check the students' answers. She clucked her tongue at some, eyes raised at the surprising ridicule some students achieved to hit.
Mia crossed her fingers at her bare knees, hoping she got the answer correct.
The Professor gave a smile of approval to Mia and nodded to Kia.
Tristan gazed at the floor, thankful that there was something else to think about besides his answer. He was always superstitious about his answers for some reason...
The bell rang suddenly, signalling lunch. Professor Sinistra pursed her lips, as if disagreeing with the bell for ringing. Clearly, she hadn't gotten through all the curriculum she wished to focus on. In a vain attempt to sound over the students, she announced a 3 feet essay on the properties the rings of Saturn consisted. Mia wrote her assignments in her neat penmanship to the growing pages of her planner. It was a tiny notebook, bought in Flourish and Blotts. Mia had seen that whenever one page was loaded with whatever capacity it would hold, another new page would add up, making it useful and cheap for Mia. Mia bit the inside of her cheek, tucking her planner in her heavily laden book bag. She stood up, her ebony sheet of hair falling gently against her shoulders. She looked down as discreetly as possible, trying to find a way to make her short skirt less noticeable.
Mia blushed. "T-Thank you," she uncertainly stammered to Kia.
Mia nodded once more, reassuringly.
((You can do either. If you want to have your character to appear more realistic, you can go through the process of actually posting on numerous topics just to chart your character's movement. If not, and I prefer this because it's faster, you can go directly. But it's your choice.))
Mia sighed softly, staring at the distance.
Mia sighed softly, staring at the distance.
Mia let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm fine..."
Mia closed her eyes, placing her small index finger and thumb at the bridge of her cute nose. "I'm sorry...it's just....I'm stressed with all the studying and such."
Mia bit her lip. "I have Independent Study."
Mia rolled her eyes, though the smile didn't disappear from her lips.
Tristan got up and grabbed his books. He raised an eyebrow at Mia and said,"Shall we proceed?"
Mia slipped her small hand into's Tristan's. "I'm heading to my dorm, so I suppose you may escort me there...." She smiled at Kia. "Sure."
Tristan smiled and squeezed Mia's hand gently. He said,"Okay"
Mia giggled musically, walking with him to her dormitory.
Cedric smiles. "Do you like Astronomy?"
"Do you?", Cedric asked, curious.
"Anyone you do like, I mean, intimately?", Cedric asked.
"Okay. How come I've never seen you before?", Cedric asked.
"I see. Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me the next time we have a trip there?", Cedric blurted out.
"Yeah. I was... um... hoping we could do something more than a tour. Um... Maybe I could get you something...?", Cedric trailed off.
"Because... er... I uh... kinda... you know...", Cedric trailed off, totally lost for words.
"Er... I... um... I... like you. And I um... think you're beautiful", Cedric hesitated.
((Strawberry Fields))
((Strawberry Fields))
"You do?", Cedric asked, a little relieved and a little taken aback.
"Oh. Thanks. For liking me. It's just that... well, last time I had a girl... it didn't turn out very well", Cedric confessed.
"Not really. The way you reacted belied the fact that it was just banter"
"Come. Class is starting", Cedric said, sitting down at a desk.
