i really want to be a competitive girl but i have to wait for a few years though. but show jumping is hard for me because their are jumps everywhere i wont know where to go

Racing is scary; I could never do it e__e Too much of a possibility of dying on the track…
Also, I ride English. I haven't really done much showing above small beginner courses (angle, outside, angle, outside) but once I get more advanced I want to do hunter. I sit more like a hunter than a jumper, and I get too scared with big jumps. ._.
o cool i really want to do show but i need more traning :( i need to find the prefect horse to do shows my horse would just dough them and he was drugged by his old owners when i was buying him. he is a tb
you know what? if you want a horse that jumps really nicly and donste cost much go to a hore adoption center, i know a few if you want me to message them to you, also my aunt and uncle owneda race horse that made it to the triple crown!
o yea its ok i already have 2 horses so thats what will be having but later on once i am older i might get a new one. i want a canadian horse they are good i heard
I ride english and I love to compete and I do jumping I'm not really goof at dressage and cross country kind of scares me
i have always wanted to do cross contry but it is dangerous. but i want to try show jumping but the jumps are all over the place i will not remember where everything is :(
I do enjoy jumping but i could never ride competitivly. I think it is stupid. Horses to me is a release. To go out and have a bit of fun and socualise as well sometimes. It shouldnt be about the competitions it should be about the enjoymnent and doing something you love. People get so caught up in winning and it discusts me!I love jumping and dressage and western, bareback, tackless, and even just spending time with my horse. I havent rode in 2 weeks. I am giving my horse a break and spending time with her on the ground. HORSES ARE NOT ABOUT COMPETITION AND WINNING.

Just stick with the smaller jumps until you are confident your horse will clear the other jumps confidently.Even if it is tiny. You shouldnt allow yourself to be scared of something you have never tried before.
i would love to do crosscountry; foot or hooves eithier. i really am just trotting with JACKFROST. when i used to ride bubbles i only trotted. i want to create a bond first so jackfrost can have my trust so we can bond more. when i rode bubbles it felt like nothing could get in my way. it was only us.

i totally agree! For me and bubbles i created an bond; a trustworthy riding experance. to me it is the horse that you have to learn from. i made mistakes in my life, bad ones...

I always make sure i know the horse before i ride it. Horses deserve to know you as a person before you ride too. Horse riding is a privlage, Your asking the horse to do things it may not want to do and it is just as unconfortable for you to ride a horse you have never ridden or seen ridden before as it is to the horse.

I've ridden a few horses I don't know well aside from "it kicks" or "it bites" or "it's very strong". I once rode a baby that I knew nothing about, but I was fine aside from the fact that he was strong and it was difficult to get him to stop cantering. That was just because he needed to get out, though, so I don't think I'm going to ride him again.
I don't know. I have felt uncomfortable sometimes, especially when I rode someone's horse that I kind of knew well but had never really jumped and I was wearing spurs.
Also, when I rode a thin thoroughbred after months of riding a stocky warmblood. That was weird.
i one time rode my thorougbred and i heard you are not allowed to run your horse back home but it was fun
i have always wanted to ride a thorougbred til i found out that thorougbred are high strong :(
i have been thown off when i was galloping but i landed in soft ground lol :)
and i have been kicked in the upper leg

Hi!I ride english and like to try just about everything with horses. My friend barrel races and keeps asking me to come out to her lessons and give it a try. I might get roped in soon!
Really want to learn to play polo :)
Polo is truly the most badass team sport. Anyone who says otherwise is very narrow-minded and has probably never seen several galloping horses trying to shove each other out of the way.
Yes! And the horses need to be super well schooled like dressage horses. In Canada they play 6 man Arena Polo now. You only need one horse per player, so it's kinda like Polo for poor people, but I think it's my next thing.
I really like the Aussie it allows for free shoulder movement on gaited horses and my knees like the English stirrup. I've ridden English and endurance saddles Aussies best of both worlds for extreme mountain riding.
