Xena arrived and immediately sat down next to the lake

Ariadne looked around, she couldn't see any flowers, a huge relief. Then she turned her attention to the lake, wondering if it was clean; she noticed Xena had already sat down. "I think I'm just going to stand, don't want to get my outfit dirty..."

"Whatever," Xena rolled her eyes, some girls care so much about their appearances

"In the past two months," ((I'm just saying that as a reference point FYI)) "I haven't seen a single teacher nor do we have dorms. Its so boring,"

"It's probably forgetful, or maybe a "godling bonding experience," Xena shivered at that thought.

"I'm starting to think they don't even know about this place!" Ariadne said,

"I doubt it's a scam" Xena said thinking out loud

Ariadne laughed, "I don't think it's a scam, I just think, maybe, Hades sort of... Forgot to tell the others to come here."

"Nonetheless we can still train," Xena said with a definitive nod

"Unfortunately not. But we can use make shift ones," Xena said with a slight frown

"There's trees, we could use those?" Ariadne said, poking a nearby tree.

"May I ask what your powers are?" Cena asked trying to figure out how to do this, "Mine are I can see truth from lies and seeing military/tactical leaders,"

"I like Ariadne's idea. Let's get some sort of material to mark where we are to aim for, well, anything. Except swords, we need to actually try that ourselves or on the side of trees"

"May I borrow this?" Xena said motioning for the dagger. She needed to improve her weaknesses not strengths

"Thanks," Xena weighed it in her hand then threw it towards the largest part of the tree. She missed by three feet. "Yeah, probably a good thing I'm practicing this now instead of later," She said with a dark laugh

"I can probably help you with hand to hand if you can help me with these daggers," Xena stated as yet another try failed and she nearly got it in the lake

Ariadne looked at the daggers, she shuddered remembering the last time she'd tried to use a dagger, "Do you guys mind if I... Stand out on the dagger stuff?" Ariadne smiled, although not too convincingly.

"Ariadne, what are you going to be doing out here. I'd rather not take your head off by accident," Xena inquired

"I can do the hand-to-hand stuff, daggers make me squeamish though!" Ariadne said, smiling

"So, I need to work on daggers and I can help with Hand to hand and swords. Ariadne, Ria, what exactly will we be working on right now?"

"Yay..." Ariadne said ever so slightly sarcastically, "That sounds totally fun..."

"Hold this for me," Xena got a dagger and handed it to Ariadne.

Ariadne flinched, but somehow managed to hold the dagger. She shot at look at Xena.

Xena smiled, "Congratulations, you have conquered the first step, actually being able to hold it. May I have it back now?"

Ariadne laughed, and quickly gave the dagger back to Xena, "You can keep it!"

"Are you squeamish about blood?" Xena asked smirking slightly

"Nope, just daggers!" Ariadne said, smiling at her half-sister

"Okay..." Xena said contemplating if she should test that statement. She was telling the truth, but she might think she's not, but actually is.

Ariadne laughed, "When I was slightly younger, I had a dagger and i accidentally..." She shook her head, "Never mind, basically daggers and me don't get on any more."

"Ohhhh... That kind of issue... Hmmmm," Xena decided that her issue dealt with psychological pain like death or some such matter. She was no stranger to dealing with it, but being able to push it out of your mind? No way.

Ariadne smiled sadly, unsure on what to say.

"With these daggers?" Xena attempted to throw it at the tree but hit the ground a few feet in front, "Horrible,"

Xena did so trying not to stab Ria

Xena brought it back and threw it as hard as possible. She missed the tree and it landed behind it. She jogged over and got it.

"You can do it Xena! Throwing daggers is pretty easy once you get the hang of it..."

"You're doing really well, if your problem is you're a little to much to one side, aim a bit to the other!" Ariadne hoped she was making sense.

"I'll try!" Ariadne focused on Xena, "Okay so your holding it right, but your putting a little too much force on it..." She looked towards Ria, "See how Ria does it? I don't know if I can do this, I feel like I'm patronizing her, which is never a good thing, especially when she has access to daggers!"

Xena laughed as well, "You're not THAT patronizing. Plus," She tried again: it actually hit the tree this time, "I think it worked. It just needs a bit more power then..." She threw it again: it got stuck in the tree. "It'll work," Xena said with a smile

"Thanks," Xena slightly smiled, "Now, I feel that I'm horrible at teaching, never tried before, so I'll try to help you,"

"Okay, I'll try to hit you. I'll make sure you can feel it but it's not painful. Do anything you can to avoid it and/or reflect it. Okay?" Xena thought that the best way to learn is through practice

Xena went to punch her shoulder. An easy place to avoid, just step aside and it's avoided.

"Dodging works well if you can't really attack at that moment but are planning ahead. Weapons can be disarmed, so then the other has both of them. That's nearly the easiest dodge ever," Xena said about to punch her on her other shoulder

((Once more I have no idea what I'm saying. Just so you know, don't try this at home. ;) ))

"Okay so you'll need to be able to get the dagger out of someone's hand. To do this, you'll need to hit the stabbers person back, reach over their arm, bring it back, bring your other arm around their neck, step back, and kick the back of their legs. You can get their knife then," Xena explained, "I'm going to guess you barely understood that,"

"Well, do you want me to show you?" Xena asked. Showing is usually better than telling.

"Attacker or defender? Either way it will I will work in slow motion to show you how to do it/what you need to do,"

"We need a small piece of wood or something, any ideas," Xena said, searching for something

"Good. Hold it like you are trying to stab something, like using a dagger. And try to hit me, it doesn't matter where," Xena explained

Xena moved her arm so it hit Ria's arm, the one with the dagger, and slowly moved it behind Ria's back. Her arm came with, and Xena grabbed Ria's other arm, put it around her neck, stepped back, and carefully kicked the back of Ria's legs in order not to cause too much pain.

"When I said that I meant if you were attacking first or if you wanted to try doing it with a bit of coaching first. You do know that right?" Xena explained
