What a surprise! A memoir told in the style of a graphic novel? Not something I would normally pick up; however, I read the entire thing with a booklight attached the week before the end of my summer vacation. Painful, graphic, and bittersweet at times, this is yet one more great memoir to add to my list.

I am always trying to broaden my horizons, so if you come across anything else interesting, let me know!

I think I posted it in another discussion, but "The Photographer" is supposed to be really good. It's a combination of photo-journalism and graphic novel about a photographers experience in Afghanistan, or is it Bosnia - the location just completely jumped out of my head. Anyway, it's in a war torn country!
