recreated the "For the forgetful mods" thread so it wasn't so cluttered. The old one was moved to the archive folder so if anyone needs to they can go back and look at it.
I posted the polls for november. I have them ending on the 10th. Once they end I can post a newsletter if Shell isn't able to. I'm working on setting up the december nomination threads. and taking down the october winner threads.
I would really like if we could get back to the monthly challenges even if they're small ones. Once we get them created for each month they can be archived and reused if they need to be.
I know I haven't been here a lot as of late. There's been some family issues that have needed my attention. But I'm now able to devote more time and attention here so if anyone needs help with anything let me know.

It will be 'late' (obviously) but I'll be happy to throw something together for the monthly challenge.
I can have it done late today, and I would be happy to sign up to do the November polls when it's time (and will take down Nomination thread once I do that)
I have the polls set up to end on the 10th. I (or someone else who's willing lol) was planning on putting up the winner threads then taking down the nomination threads and setting up the december nomination threads. it's a lot lol. Honestly when I started this group I never imagined it would get this big! I'm so glad I have you guys to help! I'm also working on a december monthly challenge and a winter seasonal challenge. Once I get that done we will have all the seasonal challenges so we can just reuse them if needed.

december nomination threads have been posted, I also posted the December monthly challenge. I think that means there's a lull in things to do until the newsletter and the jan. nominations need posted
Okay ladies...I am not dead! lol but my internet seems to be!!!! We have had the worse time since our move and just when I think that it is up and going and I start getting caught up it craps out again. We are changing services (AGAIN!) and I will be taking the next couple of days to get caught up on everything!!! I can't tell you how sorry I am that I have left this to you all... I have 1700 emails so it's going to take me a day or two to get all caught up but I can jump in full force for everything next month!
Dawn I can do Dec Newsletter since you did Nov (and I was supposed to do it) And it will also help me let everyone know I am back! lol jUst let me know:)

No problem Dawn...I'm still struggling with my flippin internet (it has thrown me off 3 times today already) but I'm just going to start going to our lib if I have to. I'm done with not having internet access.

our biggest problem is that when someone is nominated others just agree instead of nominating someone new

I have no clue who's doing what for the new year. Just tell me what to do, when to do it, and I'll do my best. Been busy at work this week, and will be busy with the family this weekend and beginning of next week. But if y'all need me to do anything- Wed-Fri next week I will have oodles more time. Let me know. If you want me to work on a monthly challenge, or a seasonal challenge... actually the fall seasonal challenge is about to expire tomorrow

I don't know if I'll be able to post pics or things like that but I may be able to work on some things for here, if you have anything for me to do lay it at me.
I like that idea, it wouldn't' t be too hard but challenging enough. I' d love to see what people could come up with

Kathy I have heard of other groups doing this too and I really don't know how I feel about it. On one hand it seems harsh, and I think having high numbers might make other people more interested (at least that's something I used to look for when I checked out groups) and on the other hand really what is the point of them being members if they do not participate, right?!
Anyways my point is I really am good either way. I might send out a message about inactivity and trying to get people going again...see if that helps at all!

I'm okay with that. and the only things left to do is the newsletter, and setting up the nomination threads for february. and since we're talking about cleaning up the group. I was thinking we should go through the old threads and get rid of non-active ones and repost the popular ones

Is anyone doing the Nomination threads? I can do them if not! I was just getting ready to add my links to everything in the Newsletter and I was going to add a link to Feb noms:)

ALSO...I tried to link the group to the Facebook page where it does the whole "Display your group bookshelves, discussions, polls and more on a Facebook Fan Page wall tab." and I got through all of the steps and on the last one it wouldn't let me go any farther because I wasn't the Administrator!!! GRRRR! Anyways Dawn I thought if you wanted to do that here is the link with the instructions
