The Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn takes place mostly in Colorado, though she does travel to other places sometimes.

The Wood Wife by Terri Windling takes place in Arizona. The House of Discarded Dreams by Ekaterina Sedia (I think) takes place in New Jersey.
Unclean Spirits by M.L.N. Hanover takes place in Colorado.
The Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn takes place mostly in Colorado, though she does travel to other places sometimes.Off the top of my head, you could also score Washington, D.C, Las Vegas, Nevada, and London (U.K.) if you took in the whole series.
Devon Monk's series is set in Portland, Oregon.Shadows in the Darkness is set in Providence, RI. Sadly only 2 books in this series. :( I liked them.
HoundedThe first of the Iron Druid series centers around Tempe Arizona. It's a fun fast read as well.
Tanya Huff's series have different settings and are more a confederation of Canada.Blood Price this series takes place in and around Toronto.Summon the Keeper is set in Kingston, ON.The Enchantment Emporium is set in Calgary.Smoke and Shadows is set in Vancouver. The Wild Ways is set in Halifax, mostly.
Charles de Lint lives in Ottowa. Older books are set there like Drink Down The Moon. Moonheart and Spiritwalk are set in Toronto. I want to find Newford, though!
I love that setting in urban fantasy is nearly a character.
Set in the near future, in Occupied America, Daniel Keys Moran's The Last Dancer is part of a long series, but it seemed to be able to stand alone. Can I recommend it? This is the review I just left on Amazon and B&N:I began my reading of Moran's work with this novel. Novel? Only in the sense that it is composed of words that tell a story, but make no mistake, This is a Herculean undertaking. Both for the author and for his readers. It is a huge, overpowering edifice of a book, reminiscent at times of a blend of Frank Herbert's Dune sensibilities and self-conscious intrigues, GRR Martin's grasp of strategy and warfare and an epic-length tale of humanity's origins in the manner of L. Ron Hubbard. If that sounds strange... well, it is strange, but it also works.
It is ostensibly the story of a young woman who is an outsider in every sense of the word, child of dead parents, branded outlaws in the world which followed the war that took their lives. She is in the process of becoming... something not yet human and not truly ethereal, but somehow both. She is also searching for her twin brother. The remaining world spins on under the thumb of a totalitarian regime that is under the belief they are doing good for mankind, while killing self-expression and dissent in the name of unified democracy. There are several forces at work here, none is easy to understand beyond their thirst for power. At some point in the constantly evolving narrative, the entire monumental tale morphs into a vaguely Tolkienesque morality play.
On my reader, it came in at 1498 pages. About 3/4 of the way through, I became convinced that I had been issued a challenge to read it through, and that helped sustain me. I'm not saying that this book was light in sustenance, more that there was so much to ponder and consider and digest, that the meal became a bit too rich and indigestion set in. At its end, along with relief, I also read a chapter of incredibly rich prose, beautifully finessed words leading to a conclusion that while somewhat unexpected, was certainly satisfying. If you have the patience and abi8lity to connect with a book for a long-term relationship, I recommend it as an introduction to many academic concepts you'll enjoy and characters that will amaze and confound you as your perceptions shift before your eyes.
MY own novel HOW LIKE A GOD takes place mostly in Washington DC and New York City, with a brief sojourn in Mesopotamia. What can I say, the characters get around.
Who doesn't love a list? For a book with multiple locations, someone else will have to decide the main location. For individual books in a series which primarily take place in one location (Kitty Norville, for instance), it's pretty easy.Copy and paste to add. :)

Deadline looks like it's realistic YA. It's on my to read list, but it probably won't work for the UF list... Mostly Chris Crutcher writes realistic fiction, but this isn't, quite. Check it out!

not Deadline...

The Iron Druid series starts out in Arizona and then moves to Oregon in the next to the last book. Although he travels quite extensively in the books themselves those are the places he is calling home.
