Hunger Games Trilogy discussion

The rainforest is dense, exotic life everywhere. Unfamiliar animals roam the area, some edible, some lethal, looking for their next tribute to trap. Some plants are edible, some are poisonous. The tributes had better be careful.

By lethal do you mean they'll kill you befor you have a chance to kill them, or that they are poisonus?

And I know this is off topic, but can I make a request for the interviews to be reposted? I can't remember who is who, and that would be helpful when making alliances.

Ann finds Luke and moves him to a safe hallow. She then goes out and lays out before decided signs for the others in her alliance to follow, then went to find water.

The tributes hear one...two...three more cannon shots.

Luke feels horrible. He knows he won't last long but he remains strong just the same. When Luke hears the cannons he looks around at his allies and ask who they are for.

After a long long time of walking, Ivy and Phoenix feel their feet starting to squelch under them, and they know there is water near. They start walking faster, but they don't want to make any noise. They find a tiny creek, and they decide to find out what is in their backpacks before they drink. They look again and see a little cave they hadn't noticed before, and decide that's where they'll open their bags. They hop over the creek and go into the cave. They sit down and start unzipping their bags...

This is what Phoenix finds in his bag:
A coil of rope
Five packs of pretzel sticks
Three packs of dried fruit
Five packs of crackers
Three small loaves of bread
Two empty water bottles with filters
A bottle of iodine
A coil of wire
Two small daggers
A large net
A roll of bandages
A lighter full of lighter fluid
A bottle of creamy medicine (on the bottle it says "good for keeping away infection and treating of -cuts -burns -scratches also a good protection from the sun")
He thinks he's gotten some pretty good supplies, and he picks up the rope, the net and wire knowing they'll be useful because he has a skill with setting traps. That's when Ivy points out a little pocket on the side of the pack. He opens it up and inside it he finds a camera. At first, he doesn't know why this would be usefull, but then he realizes he will have a huge advantage because he can take pictures of places and put together his own sort of mental map and he'll know where things are. He takes a tiny bit of the medicine and applies it to his arm, and it feels a lot better.

Ivy opens her bag and finds
two rolled-up black sleeping bags (those take up a lot of room in the bag) she hands one to Phoenix.
a roll of Saran Wrap
a rain jacket (which she puts on)
two packs of crackers
one pack of dried fruit
A little bottle of Vitamin C tablets
Ivy knows her stuff isn't nearly as valuable as Phoenix's but she knows he'll share. She's just glad she didn't get injured. She notices Phoenix's arm has started to heal, but she notices that a pool of blood is gathering near his right leg. She immediately rolls up his pant leg and finds not a sprawling scratch but a rather deep wound seemingly made from an arrow. She puts some of the medicine on her hand and applies it to the wound, which is just above his ankle. He sighs loudly and says "I should have paid more attention. I should have known I wouldn't be able to get this valuable a bag without getting hurt. I didn't even realize I had a wound on my leg until we got to the creek, and I didn't want you to worry. Thanks, though. It was worth it, wasn't it?" he finishes, turning his attention towards the array of items from his bag. Ivy doesn't answer, just unrolls her own sleeping bag and packs the rest of the things away in her bag and counts 16 arrows. She puts them in her bag. She is obviously upset that Phoenix already got injured, but she's satisfied by their supplies. She just hopes no one finds them in the night.

Phoenix goes outside the little cave to the creek with the water bottles, the iodine solution and Ivy's vitamin C tablets. He fills up both water bottles. They have filters, but he puts a little drop of iodine solution and a tablet in each bottle. He goes back into the cave with the full and purified water bottles.

Another cannon fires. The tributes in the alliance whip around to see Luke slumped to the ground. It was his cannon. Luke is dead.

Adsila turns around, shocked. That's Luke. Dead, on the ground. The Games are now becoming scarier then they already were. She locks eyes with Ann and they have a moment of silence for Luke before they and the other allies run for their lives.

Zane and Zöe see Luke the same time as Adsila and Ann, and they sprint with them, crashing through the brush. They see frogs jumping as they pass. Some looked poisonous, so they slowed to a trot, finally stopping completely. Zane turned to Ann and asked, "what supplies do you have? Me and Zöe have three knives, an empty canteen, and a blanket." Zane lays their supplies on the ground in front of them, signaling Zöe to do the same, hoping the other tributes will do it also.

Ann shows them the knapsack she grabbed and dumps out the contents. A canteen, sleeping bag, and some rolls. She also gestures to the sword hanging by her side. She looks around and remembers she snagged Luke's bag before the hovercraft came to take him. She looks through it, and finds a small blanket, water bottle, notebook with pen and a small pocketknife. When Ann opens the notebook up she finds writing and begins to read: Ann, I know I am not going to last long in the arena and I never planned on it. I want you to know that I have always been rooting for you; in the spelling bee, the track meet, and the band playoffs among others. I am rooting for you now. You have and always will be, my best friend. When you get back home tell your brother, marc, that he is one cool guy and I was glad to get to know him. Love from, Luke Kenneth Pensworthy. Ann reads the letter and sits on a tree root and begins to sob. Adsila takes the note and reads it, handing it to Zoe and then goes next to Ann and tries to comfort her.

(what when did ann and adlisa became in our alliance yet) well anyway hunter realises that ann is crying and goes to see whats wrong

((Ann and Adsila were in an alliance with Zoe and Zane and Shawn during alliances, rainforest, and bloodbath. We were actually an alliance before this even started :) ))

maple walks along side anna when they are going to a tree where they should be safe.

Adsila finally gets Ann to calm down and the group of allies continue through the forest.

It doesn't take long to calm Ann down, she is just under a lot of stress. However she is glad for her friend's company. ((Who all is in our alliance now?)) As they walk through the trees, Ann starts looking for signs of water. Water is an essential part of the living body after all and without it, well, we all know what would happen. :)

Zöe can relate to Ann, she imagines she be much the same if something were to happen to Zane. Ad they travel through the rainforest, mist clouds their vision, so they only see about 20 yards in front of them. Zöe grabs Zane's hand as they walk, so has to not risk the chance of losing him. Adsila and Ann lead the group of five tributes through the forest (hunter, Zöe, Zane, Ann, and adsila, I believe). Up ahead they see a small alcove about three feet off th ground that descends into a small cave. "should we stop here?" Zöe asks.

ok, hunter says and grabs out his sword just in case anything is in there.

The sky lights up with the seal from the Capitol. The faces of Luke, Arynn, both tributes from 3, 2, and 6, the boys from 8 and 12, and Amanda from 8 appear. 11 tributes are dead.

End of Day 1.

((are zöe and Zane siblings?)) Ann scrambles up into the alcove and confirms everything is okay and then begins helping people up. The further back they explore the cave, the darker it gets. Not wanting to go any further Ann returns and says that we need to post two guards per watch, one in behind and one below. She volunteers to take the first watch and asks Zane if she will join her. Once everyone is asleep they begin to chat.

Trevor had crossed the tree line hours ago and was now wandering the woods, looking for food and water, and wondering what he'd do next.

((yeah, way tragic, I know)) Zöe falls asleep on her and Zane's backpack, leaving behind the gory images from the day. As she closes her eyes, she hears Zane and Ann talking softly.

Zane looks over at Ann, who is at the other end of the cave ((right?)). He sees her looking at the note from the tribute in her district. Zane watches as she quickly wipes a year from her eye.

"were you two close?" Zane asks, motioning to the note.

hunter stays awake and sharpens his knife he notices that zane and ann are talking.

Trevor headed for the nearest tree and started climbing it, branch by branch. Maybe he hadn't climbed a tree since he was ten, but the higher ground was always better, right?

no thank you for offering and yes we probably should move maple said when just as she said it she hears somebody climbing the tree their in she stops we are not alone she says in a calmest voice she can and looks into bambi's eyes she almost stands up but stays still to get a look at their pesuer.

Ann clears her throat and said "Yeah, he was my best friend growing up. I thought I prepared myself for anything tragic but it just kind of crept up on me. I promise i won't cry about any more."

Trevor cocked his head, thinking he'd heard voices.
"Hello?" he called cautiously, grabbing the hilt of his dagger, just in case.

Trevor looked up at the sound of the voice, and saw a young, pretty girl he vaguely remembered from training.
"I'm Trevor," he said, looking her in the eye. The thought crossed his mind to kill her, but he couldn't. she was just so innocent looking, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He tucked his knife back in his pocket.

maple follows bambi cousiously are you with anyone may i ask she says in a gentle voice be careful bambi, he could have an alliance that could jump at us at any moment she said calmly

A cannon fires. It was Ivy from 11 (no one has posted for 11 in a week).

"Look ladies, if I was going to kill you, I would've been more subtle," Trevor said, smirking. "And I'm too cute for a partner."

"Well, I didn't know you were here-so originally it was just to take a nap-but if you gals wouldn't mind a little masculine company..." Trevor trails off. How could he just leave them? The one was so innocent and sweet looking...
