Basically, ways of talking about anything cool we've written personally!

I personally find it pretty hard to start out, but once you are started it kind of flows, unless you are under pressure.
@ György, you write enough amazing things anyway :)

Haha thanks, Emily. I've always wanted to write my own poems to set to music but after reading what you wrote today I realised that I would never be able to match that talent. I'll have to stick to composing. :(
:) It's not as great as you are making it out to be. I can't see much talent in what I wrote, it doesn't even make sense.
But your composing is talent :)

I am yet to read better poetry from an under 30 year old. My composing isn't that good, I've got a long way to go.

That's a handful of my things, but I must say that Emily's rhythm beats mine in her poetry hands down. Mine is more about the poetic ideas...
Also the way I go about writing G, is to come up with a thought and write based on that. What if such and such were to happen... for instance.

*blushing* thanks. I am no Alfred Lord Tennyson though. And never will be. :D

Thanks :)
Thanks :)
I used to think writing a book was easy, but I was rather stupid back then.
The first time I tried to write a book--and I think some people can relate to me on this--it was so god-awful that simply rereading it embarrassed me. Right now it's in the garbage can, exactly where it belongs.
To answer your question...Unfortunately I have not written anything cool, anything resembling cool, even anything as a pathetic imitation of cool. I do aspire to be an author one day, and hopefully I won't make a fool of myself in the publishing world.....*hopeful face*

Alright...I know I haven't written anything in ages. Other than the links I've put up here but I thought I'd post up this link for those who are interested. http://www.virtue-comics.com/
A mate of mine who is into writing short superhero based stories. Interesting idea if you like superheroes!
I have millions of stories on my computer, but I've only ever finished one in my entire life. It wa extremely short, and really poorly written (because I was eight/nine), and about half the characters dies by the sixth-and last-chapter.
I have a few in progress stories on my page, and a short story or two if anyone's interested.

I've written a few stories on Goodreads.
I like writing. I've written some okayish poems and some (not finished) stories. I wouldn't say any of it qualifies as 'cool' though...

The stories I've written are Pokemon fanfics about the Pokemon I have in Pokemon White 2.

Can anyone explain why I'm an awful writer even though I love reading? People say that readers are good writers. Or maybe I'm not an awful writer, I just don't like what I write. Or maybe it's because I don't like writing.

Good readers are generally better writers because they are able to combine different ideas into their own style. However, writing is also a lot about thinking, reading a lot merely helps that thinking so reading a lot isn't going to help you write unless you're looking at ways to think carefully about how to best work what you want to say into a narrative.
