After introducing the mentor(s) for District 5 the one who will announce the tributes walked over to the glass ball with the boys' names in them and announced the name that was pulled out. "Ryder Way!" they watched to see if a volunteer would come forth.

Ryder shook his head and stepped foreword, not expecting anybody else to step up. He was right. Not a soul moved as he walked up to the podium. What did he expect? Ryder took a deep breath and approached the escort and mentor.

The person gave a plastic smile and placed the male beside them before walking over to the glass ball of female names. They grabbed a slip and announced the name, "Rosalie Drey!" They then waited to see if someone would step forward in Rosalie's place.

Ryder looked about, not recognizing the name. He sighed and shifted from foot to foot.
