Into the dark discussion

Garrus walked nearer, in the shadows with Kayleigh next to him looking at a group of people drinking and laughing together.

Mercer stood at the far side with a scowl on his face as he looked at one person next to the fire, who was the loudest. Mercer nodded at him and two guards got up and walked to the man and picked him off his feet before they punched him continuously.

They dropped the guy on the floor, he was clutching himself as blood poured out from almost everywhere. "Put him out of his misery." Mercer said as he stared hard at the man. The guard pulled out a knife and slit his throat.

Garrus ran forward and punched one guard as another leaped at Kayleigh and pushed her over roughly. Mercer looked down at her. "Filthy animal, you are a pest. Just like your dad." He said, his coldness showing.
