lalalalalalalalalalalalalala i'm back and hopefully i'll restart this group again

Ren was running through the woods trying to keep up with Akira who was only a little ahead of him

Jade was bathing upin a lake in her animal form

Akira stopped sensing that there was a living creature near Ren sensed it too and started moving towards it he wanted to see how close he could get without it noticing him while in human form Akira didn't bother trying to stop him he knew it was futile

Jade splashed in the water trying to rid her feathers of the mud that colored her brown. she knew that humans often used this lake for fishing so she didn't dare change forms to make cleaning any easier. as she tried to rid herself of the mud she spotted a human walking up and stopped watching him. she didn't see a gun or any other hunting tool but she found it hard to trust humans. she honked out in warning and went deeper into the small lake.

Ren smelled the air he could tell it was a bird of some kind it honked at him so he could more or less gage the distance between them and he could tell there was water in front of him Akira watched from a distance thinking this was a bad idea "Ren let's go we still have a good distance to cover before night fall and this place reeks of humans and gun powder"
"Not yet just a minute this bird smells weird" Ren said now at the edge of the lake he got this scent that was a mix of bird and human but the human scent wasn't old

Jade watched the two. she could tell by watching them that they weren't like the other humans she had come across in her travels but she had seen first hand what they would do to shifters like her. she honked again sounding more frightened then she ment too. she attempted to take flight but the mud still on her wings only caused her to leap out of the water and splash back down. she muttered a curse softly as she hit the water.

"Ren come on let's go we're just scaring it" Akira
"I'm serious it's scent don't you smell it" Ren
Akira closed his eyes and smelled the air and he realized Ren was right "Let's go Ren it won't do anything with us here except hurt itself"
"Fine geeze you take the fun out of everything" Ren said moving back toward Akira once Ren was close
"We are only going to leave it's sight and see what happens then we will come back in wolf form" Akira whispered Ren nodded

Jade watched the one head back to the other 'please leave' she pleaded mentally. she glanced over to where she had hid her bag she knew if she could get over to her things and change forms she could get enough of the mud off to make a quick get away

Once they were out of the birds line of sight they watched to see what would happen

(no it was a hot blonde...i will find another pick)

she quickly swam to shore and went to her bag after pulling her dress on she looked around and changed. she put her bag on her shoulder and started to head to the old hunting shack she had been living in since her sister had been murdered by the humans

John spent most of his afternoons dozing off under a tree. He enjoyed the serenity of it and as a predator he knew that if he waited long prey would eventually come his way. He just needed a little patience and he had plenty of that.

Akira watched the bird change into a girl and start off into the woods
"Come on you were right the bird was weird"
"No duh" Ren said going with Akira who had started after the girl

Jade hurried off glancing behind her with every little sound. she barely paid attention to where she was going because she knew the way by heart.

John heard a small commotion in the woods and so, for the element of surprise, he climbed a tree to conceal his identity.

Akira and Ren followed at a distance using their sense of smell to keep track of where the girl was so they were still concealed from her sight by the trees

When she got closer to the shack she started to run

Akira and Ren easily kept pace with her even at the distance they were

she went inside the run down shack and blocked the door with a dresser that was in the only room. she leaned against the wall listening for any sound to tell her that she was followed and it wasn't just her paranoia getting the best of her.

John saw a girl run by followed shortly by two guys. He wasn't sure what to think. He just watched them as they made their way further into the woods. He didn't have the slightest inclination to follow them. He mostly felt the urge to sleep, so he scurried back down the tree and drifted off into another daydream.

A few minutes later Akira and Ren were at the edge and if they went any farther would be seen from the shack Ren stopped Akira from stepping out "We don't want to alarm her too much lets give it a few minutes so she let's her guard down just a bit" Ren said
"Alright but i'm gonna switch form and wander over" Akira Ren nodded so Akira did exactly what he said he was going to

After a few minutes she looked threw a hole in the boarded up window. she didn't see or hear anything so she put her bag down and moved the dresser she grabbed a small basket and slowly came out to pick some berrys that grew just behind the shack

Akira in wolf form stepped out of the trees and slowly went toward the girl Ren remained where he was listening carefully to what was going on

she froze when she saw the wolf. she watched it carefully as she dropped the berries she had in her hand into the basket

Akira noticed she was afraid so he laid down trying to tell her she didn't need to be afraid Ren observed for a bit but got tired of it rather quickly and slowly slipped out of the trees while the girl was distracted by Akira

"are you hungery?" she asked Akira softly not noticing Ren. she slowly offered him a hand full of berries

He accepted them carefully Ren was careful while he approached partially because he didn't want to trip and partially because he was going to appear to appear out of thin air

she smiled softly as she watched him eat "it isn't safe for you out here all alone at this time of day" she told him not thinking he could understand her.

Ren almost laughed he was pretty sure he was about where they were Akira looked up at Ren to somewhat anounce his presence

she looked up at Ren and quickly stood up, or tried to but only stumbled backwards and fell. "i-i don't w-want any t-t-trouble" she studdered

"We didn't come here to start any miss bird" Ren said just to let her know they knew "Akira how long do you plan on playing house pet"
Akira looked around to make sure there was no one else around and shifted back to human form
"Perhaps we should go inside and talk" Akira

"y-your shifters?" she whispered as she slowly got to her feet looking between the two of them

"Yes just like you" Ren said pointing to where he was pretty sure she was
"Ren how about leaving the pointing to me" Akira said slightly correcting Ren who had been pretty close

"are you blind?" she asked as she picked up her half filled basket and headed for the front of the shack

"Yeah so what" Ren said never liking to tell people it was admitting a weakness and he hated it
"He's always been blind" Akira said leading Ren while following the girl

"I'm sorry" she said softly and let them in. once they were all in she slid the dresser back in front of the door "the lock rusted out of the door when i fist moved here" she explained

"Really well you should probably get that fixed" Akira
Ren was sulking a bit so he didn't say anything he had never enjoyed being blind
"I'm Akira and this is Ren what's your name" Akira said telling her who they were

"I'm Jade" she said softly

"It's nice to meet you Jade" Akira said "You asked if i was hungry earlier when you gave me the berries well i still am"
"Don't be so rude Akira that was when you were a wolf she hasn't offered anything don't intrude on her it doesn't feel like there's much here anyway" Ren said scolding his brother
"You're right now that i actually look around sorry that was rude of me" Akira

"i have some rabbits in the cooler in the courner...your each welcome to have one if you wish"

"Thank you" Ren said then moved to the corner he could smell the rabbits he had known they were there from the time he walked in but the scent filled the whole place so it was the only scent he was getting
"So how long have you been out here" Akira asked

"nearly a year by myself...a total of 5 i have been staying in this shack" she said

"That's a long time to be alone i don't think i could do that it would be weird" Akira said he glanced at Ren to make sure he was ok while thinking it was weird enough the eight years we did spend apart
Ren found the cooler and reached inside to find the rabbits he and Akira hadn't had anything to eat in a couple days so he was feeling hungry like Akira

"it's not by choice" she said softly "the humans killed my sister nearly a year ago..."

"I'm sorry to hear that" Akira said thinking of other things he really didn't want to think about
"You really don't have to remember that Akira" Ren said sensing the change in Akira's mood that had become dangerous he brought a rabbit to Akira and held another for himself

She frowned looking between the two

"Don't worry about it it's in the past and if we're lucky it will stay there" Akira said he was now in a sour mood
"You don't have to lower the temperature in here because your in a bad mood Akira" Ren said
Akira fixed it immediately he hadn't realized he was doing it in the first place
"Shouldn't you be the one whose upset Ren"
"You know me i can be emotionless toward many things which is safer sometimes now stop thinking about that go for a walk or something and calm down"

"What is going on?" She asked frowning looking between them

Akira looked at Jade then at Ren "It's your choice you can tell her or not"
"When Akira and i were three our parents separated i was with our mom and Akira was with our dad. Our mom wasn't so thrilled when she realized that i was a shifter she became violent towards me this went on for eight years until Akira came and took me away" Ren
Akira cut in "When i found him i found a living doll empty and broken i almost froze that disgusting vile creature to death" Akira said with so much hatred and disgust you wouldn't have thought he was talking about his own mother

"Your mother?" She asked in disbeleif
