I have been reading this all morning. I didn't really know what it was about. I saw it in online in the library system and thought it looked good. Not only is it about a mermaid but also a boy with wings.
(view spoiler)[Alander is very rude but when I see his eyes warm when he see her I think of him as sweet. But how would that even work? I'm thinking live by the sea. Problem solved. Get a cottage somewhere so she won't be so lonely. I worry that he would do something to keep him with her but since he's also half merman I think not. Big Question: Is she naked when she's in the ocean? She must have scales for her fins but what about the rest of her? That would be awkward if her dad or an old man saw her breasts... *shudders* especially I wouldn't was to see those old women naked. That's beyond creepy. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished it. It's kind of a sad story in that (view spoiler)[towards the end she feels ashamed of her tail fin thingy... she can be human now and mermiad but I can't get over her feeling wrong being a mermaid for that small moment. (hide spoiler)]

But it was still very good and I enjoyed Alan and her relationship. Alan is the very studious book lover and contrary to what others might think. Just liking classics and politics books doesn't mean mean someone like me who loves children's and teen books will get along well.
