Hannah This is where most of the creating of the serums happen, as well in the back room is where the experimenting and trial rungs happen on the Zombies.
((Will add picture later))

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) "Day 13," Addyln said into the small recorder that she held near her lips. She focused intently on the two very different subjects before her. Both mice--or at least one once was a mouse. Thirteen days ago, Addyln had taken a sample of a captured zombie's blood and injected it into one of mice. Two days later, the mouse was just as terrifying as the other zombies.

That was required, though. She needed to have her test subjects of the same blood just to ensure things worked. Addyln had then harbored what she believed was a possible cure into the other mouse, letting it fuse with the mouse's blood and become comparable with it. "Subject A," the zombie mouse, "has had no true change." That was expected.

"The blood from subject B was observed under the microscope along with a sample of subject A's blood." Addyln paused for a long moment before continuing her words. "It seems that B has become immune to A's blood, but after hours passed, the cells degraded... The formula needs adjustment seeing as B would die if infected now. But, on the plus side, B would not change based off of these results."

Great, Addyln thought sarcastically as she said the recorder down and let out an exaggerated sigh. What am I missing?! The thought came to Addyln at that moment. Maybe B is just the bank...perhaps if it's blood was taken and the strain that fights the virus off was isolated then amplified in size and strength, then that could be what's needed to retain cell life and fight off of the virus.

The idea bubbled in her now excited, hopeful mind as she took another sample of B's blood and started to run her tests.

((did I pick the right possible lab for this? Lol))

Hannah ((Yep I'm pretty sure you are))

Hannah Doctor William V. Harris was doing his rounds of all the labs. He looked down at his clip board and saw that Science Lab, room 301 was next on his list. ((Totally just made that number up lol it has no significance))

Walking into the room, his face still down in the clip board, he didn't notice the other person right away. "Addyln" he said, startled enough that he didn't use her professional name. "I didn't know you were scheduled to be in here."

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) Addyln had heard footsteps long before William had noticed her, so she was un-startled by his entrance. Not  looking up from the microscope, she responded. "When am I ever scheduled for any place?"

Finally pulling her attention from the blue stained molecules, Addyln looked to him. "Plus, breakthroughs don't happen without dedication..." she added, restating something her father used to ramble over and over to her each day after her mother's death.

message 6: by Hannah (new)

Hannah William smiled at the familiar saying that her father used to say. "Well then, have you had any breakthroughs?" he asked curiously. Even though it was a long shot, he still hoped that someone might have a tiny insight on how they could cure this virus. The plus side to this, was that he wasnt straying far from his work he had to do this morning, which William always tried to stick to. Before he came into the trial and testing lab, he had been walking through all the rooms and collecting their data. He hadnt made it nearly half way through the building yet, so he still had a lot of ground to cover. But even so, he could always make time for Addyln, since he did keep her safe after her father died.

message 7: by Savannah W ~ (new)

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) Addyln had a brief moment of smiling before it ended and reality reminded her that she had a long way to go to finding a breakthrough of epic proportions. She lightly bit her lower lip and glanced towards the microscope. "Um...not a huge one," she said coyly. "I've found a way to manipulate DNA to the point of rejecting the zombie infection, but at the cost of life. So, basically, if we get bite we just die rather than get turned. But, I'm hoping to isolate the strains and amplify them to make us immune and able to live after being attacked. From there we'd hopefully be able to use the blood of an immune to reverse the zombie infection...but it's a stretch still..."

Hannah William smiled widely at Addyln. It was a spectacular acheivment, considering what they had when they came to this compound deep in the forest. "That is wonderful news," he wrote something down on his clip board about what Addyln had told him. Even though he had a smile on his face when he spoke, didnt mean that his voice was any more emotional. He tended to keep his emotions out of his voice, and keeping it strictly business. "Why dont you try instead of reversing the affect, try and find a cure to stop the affect completely." William help up his hand before she could react or say anything and continued speaking. "I know that we are trying to reverse the affect but it seems to me that this is heading more in that direction. Now, once you complete that, or get more progress on it, then you can switch to finding a reverse triggar" William explained. He had a slight feeling that Addyln would do as she pleased regardless what William said, but that didnt bother William as much as when others did it, mostly becasue she got imidiate results in half the time.

message 9: by Savannah W ~ (new)

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) Addyln cocked her head to the side and ran through his words a moment seeing if somewhere they had miscommunicated. He wanted her to just make it so that there was just a way to stop the infection in full? "I...think I must have failed to either elaborate properly or understand your suggestion." Addyln shifted her weight and looked to William's eyes, something she did often for whatever reasons--probably because she enjoyed looking into them even though they held no emotion really... "The isolated strain I'm working on--if it works properly--will prevent us from having any effects of the virus. So, it will stop the effect in full. But then I hoped to using the DNA with the immunity in it to reverse those already infected..." she explained her originally semi vague words hoping that that cleared any confusion.

Hannah William frowned, then brought his hand up to massage his temple. "Im truely sorry i misunderstood that, Addyln. It has been a very tiring day/morning ((im not exactly sure what time it is)) for me." And it had. Willaim had gone to visit his daughter that morning before starting work and each time he did it took a very big tole on him. "Please, carry on with your work, it sounds like you are making progress which is great. Please come to me if you have made any other discoveries..." he trailed off. It just wasnt like him to be doing this. Usually if he was in a room with anyone else he would never have let his guard slip like that. He caught a glance of himself in a reflection from one of the glass cabinates. Grey hair now streaked through his hair, and dark bags were underhis eyes. This whole virus epidemic had taken its tole on him, even more so than everyone else since he had helped start it.

message 11: by Savannah W ~ (new)

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) "I was actually about to take a break," Addyln said as she looked over the doctor's face. It used to not be like him to slip up and not understand things around him, especially scientific words that were spat out of the mouth of those under his knowledge. But over the years, Addyln noticed the growing slip ups and downfalls William had started to have. It killed her a bit inside when she saw him like he was now. She took a few steps closer, lightly gripping his clipboard and pulling it from his hand before he could object. "You're taking one with me," she informed. "You need one."

Hannah William opened his mouth to protest but gave up and nodded. She was right, today just wasnt his day. His zombie daughter had been worse than usual today and he had been thinking about her all day. "Alright, lead the way," he gestured toward the door.

((You can lead them wherever you want to :P))

message 13: by Savannah W ~ (new)

Savannah W ~ (savannah_white) Addyln was glad to see the doctor didn't protest. He probably knew she wouldn't take no for an answer in this case. She nodded to him. First she turned off her microscope and housed anything that needed to be contained. And then she headed out the door and towards the lounge.

((I'll post there now. Oh, and...only issue with going back and forth from vampire to zombie group is the word slip ups ;). You said vampire daughter :)))

Hannah ((Hahaha oops, my bad lol i'll change that :P))
