I am definitely ready but I will have to start Monday instead of Saturday. I will be out of town with not a lot of opportunity to read.
I'm in. It's at a good time for me too. It's the only week this month that I'm guaranteed not to have to work 50+ hours. I am so sick of working overtime.

I'm in. I'm doing nanowrimo this year so I will have to read when I have my word count done for the day, but I do need to catch up and get some books read.
I am in. I have to help with a dinner at my church on Saturday, so probably won't get a lot done that day, but I will see what I can do the rest of the week! Thanks again, Athira, for organizing this! I just love Read-a-thons!
Tracy wrote: "But the money has to be good, right Anne? "The extra money is good, but I miss having free time. It really wears you out after a while. Working an extra 73 hours in the course of 2 months is too much, and I'm not done yet.
Count me in! I think I'll have one of the weekend days to myself to help me get into gear, too. We've moved into the time of weeks and weeks...and weeks of non-stop rain here in the Pacific Northwest, so it's a great time to snuggle down with a cup of tea, the cat, and a good book.Nov. 17 AM update - My goals during this marathon:
- Ring - Koji Suzuki (282 pages)
- Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell (509 pages)
- The Phantom of the Opera - Gaston Leroux (360 pages, to start if I finish the previous two books)
Yes! I am in again as well! :-)Last time I set up a little theme for me. I used the readathon-week to finish the books I had left unread at some point and it felt really good to pick them up again and bring them to an end. Mostly I was positively surprised about how much I liked them in the end.
I am a bit of a chicken and sometimes stop reading once I fear that a character I love is about to die or seriously hurt (emotionally). So maybe I will do that again during this readathon (still have enough unfinished reading material... ;-) ).
My goal for this readathonFinish Nineteen minutes by Jodi Picoult I'm on page 286 out of 455
Start and Finish Small town Christmas by Debbie Macomber 384 pages
Start and Finish The Christmas Shoppe by Melody Carlson 168 pages
I'll be starting a little later today, as I'm just on my way out to breakfast. Good luck, everyone! Hope we read THOUSANDS of pages!
Oh, I just saw this and will finish two books, God willing. The Time Keeper 19%
2nd Chance 19%
