Sometimes I don't watch anime because it is either:To Scary. (Rarely happens. not a fan of scary stuff)
BORING!!!!!!!!!!!! (Rarely)
To inappropriate.
But that is my only reasons. It is to hard to be against anime!
Yeah I think I saw the beginning of Elfen Lied, and realized it was too inappropriate for me. Might watch it waaaay later or maybe not :\
I've run into a few anime that I wish I didn't watch. Most often it's the really popular ones where the fans are scary, like Naruto or Bleach. Never got far, thankfully, but the fandoms are scary.
Kurau: Phantom Memory started out okay, then it because painful to watch because it started to make no sense.

A couple of friends really got into Gantz and told me to watch it. That is the most screwed up, non-sense making series I've ever seen. It was disgusting and filled with all the creepiest sexual fetishes. I absolutely don't recommend Gantz.

A friend of mine once said, "If you ever meet anyone at an anime con that says they like Gantz, run, don't walk, away from them."
She thought Gantz was an interesting concept, but it just kept getting worse and worse and every time she thought it couldn't get any more messed up, it did.

A few friends of mine watched it. I haven't. Other than hearing that it was typical harem, I don't know much about it.

Selena, I hope you haven't had the misfortune of watching even one episode.
It was on Anime Network once. My brother was watching the first episode. I walked in about halfway through, went, "What is this? Looks stupid,", my brother said, "I have no clue, but it's crap," and turns it off.
I'm often in the minority on this, but the old saying "there goes two hours of my life I'll never get back" is exactly how I feel about Pom Poko. Nothing gruesome or (terribly) innapropriate like a lot of the above, but I absolutely couldn't stand it.Selena wrote: "Kurau: Phantom Memory started out okay, then it because painful to watch because it started to make no sense. Kurau is the biggest example of wasted potential I've ever seen in anime. It started really interesting and fell apart fast.
School Days is infamous because of its ending. Let's say the "bad ending" of many visual novels was taken up to eleven here. I'm surprised they released it on TV where you were. There's only a few I regret watching. The big one is Fractale, because it changes from what looks like a sweet Miyazaki inspired anime to kind of a squicky seinen one later on. Along the lines of Gantz, Rin:Mnemosyne is bad, too-incoherent, with really sexualized violence that makes you feel bad watching it.
There's also Ninja Resurrection, which manages to not only be a bad anime, but a historically offensive one too (it's set in the time of the shimbara rebellion, where Christians were violently suppressed in Japan.)
Finally there's Kampfer, which couldn't really do anything right. How hard is it to make even a normal harem anime?
I forgot all about Kampfer. That was was bizarre. I think I prefer the episode of the Abridged series I saw. XD
Mirai Nikki is another one I wish I had my time back from watching. It ended up being the same thing over and over again. In a 12-way death match, why is it the same two characters kill everyone else? (Abridged series is far better in this case, too)

You know, much as I love Sailor Moon, it's so full of filler episodes that it sometimes feels like a chore watching so many episodes in succession. It takes forever for anything to happen. Yet, something keeps calling me back to SM.

I heard they're remaking the Sailor Moon anime next summer for the anniversary.

Yes they are Selena, I want to watch. But I haven't exactly watched much of the anime so the story is a huge blur for me.@DM well I went to Wikipedia to read rest of the story. Because I just wanted to know how it ended. And WOAH! That is one ending, that girl has some serious issues :\
I can't be bothered watching sailor moon. There is so many episodes that I find off-putting to watch.
But mind you Bleach has 366 episodes that I'm determined to watch and I'm only up to episode 3 over 3 months. It is going to take me a long time to finish Bleach. Maybe I will watch the very last episode and see what happens.
@Nekokit if you watch the last episode it won't probably make much sense, since Bleach is an anime that is essentially just adventures that take place in 5 to 6 episodes. Maybe you could skip some adventures, and see the final part of the season. It would make sense since, they show flash-backs :)

One day my friend come a crosses an anime I forgot what it is called. She told me she watched the few episodes and did not want to watch it again.
I was a bit surprised.
Has this happened to you?
