Hi, so we will close the poll for the group read on Dec. 15. Once the book is decided, I will make a timeline for reading. (The bulk of the reading will take place during the holidays.) Feel free to make any comments or suggestions for any aspect of the group read.

Also, one of my friends suggested that it would be better to read an annotated edition if you can, just so you have access to the political references if you want them. There is a nice version online at http://www.tristramshandyweb.it/ with all the volumes. I think the ones on Google Books don't include all the volumes. There is also a Norton Critical edition of the work, which is nice because it includes background materials and criticism of the work.
