OK! Question time!
My name is "lafon حمزة نوفل" with a lowercase "L". What my real names is, may be be a secret and it may not be.
I'm a computer technician by trade, although it (and playing hockey, and reading) count amongst my favourite things to do.
I was born on a cool day one fall morning, to two loving parents. If you want an actual day, it was October 21.
My best friend online? I'm not too sure. I think they're all wonderful people! I can't quite pick just one out. In terms of real life, well, I'll keep their names secret. They don't deserve a mention here, those cheating scumbags! Seriously though, they're cool people, and I just won't write their names.
This group is, in a word, crazy. In two words, very crazy. They have been very welcoming to me, both as a member and as a mod, and have validated my reasons for nominating myself. You guys are awesome. Special thanks to Charlie for having the thought for this group one spring day!
What's to say about the other mods? I think they are all funny and interesting people in their own right. I couldn't begin to do them justice regardless of what I post here.
My title was a spur of the moment realization: Which comes first? Thought or action? I realized I didn't know. TO have a thought one must first have committed an action to initiate said thought, but conversely one cannot act without thought, whether conscious or otherwise. Certainly a conundrum.
One day I'll be a professor in computer science, novelist, and professional hockey player.
Over the years, I've had many, many animal friends, with the most current being a pair of cats. I must say that my favourite of them was my horse, a quarter-paint mix who went by the name of Badr. She was a lovely creature.
My favourite food is a mash-up of cultures, and it's fried banana and roti. Simply delicious. My second fave would probably be dumplings.
Least favourite foods, huh? I'm willing to eat anything at least once (as long as it doesn't violate my religious beliefs), but I must say that I rather dislike extremely chewy foods. It's not because the taste is bad (in fact, many of the foods I dislike taste really good), but because it instigates my gag reflex. Not sure why...
I'll read anything at least once, but I'd probably say my favourite genres are fantasy/high fantasy, sci-fi, and literary fiction.
I don't have any favourite books per se because there are so many out there, but I think for the moment A Monster Calls is probably one of them.
Well that's it for now. Please don't hesitate to ask me anything else. I actually like answering questions! :D
