So the founding members of this small but fabulous group had a serious meeting to decide our first group read (translation: Alan, Maebh, Bernard and I happened to be in the pub...)

Fahrenheit 451 is a real SciFi classic with timeless universal significance on the dangers of censorship. As we read; share thoughts. Start a topic if you want to discuss a certain theme and always let people know if there will be spoilers.

I read this about two years ago and although it is truly excellent it just feels a bit soon to be going back to it. I also have a mountain of other books (there was a €1 a piece book sale, how was I to help myself?!) I kinda want to get to before the end of the year so I reckon I’ll sit this month out.

Have fun!

Maebh | 20 comments Of course I can't find the fecking thing anywhere! I was pretty sure I had a copy somewhere but it turns out I must've dreamed it, :) And the local bookshops didn't seem to have it either, so my last hope is the library... Has anyone else started it yet?

Dave | 5 comments I am DYING for a good book nerd-out. However, my Masters is currently chewing me up and spitting me out. So my posts may be sporadic, but I will suggest drinking quite a lot as there's more participation. I will aim to do a re-read this weekend.
