Paige Miller This folder is for any problems you may be having with your story. Just post them in this topic, and we'll do our best to help!

I just finished a story and want to write something else but I can't think of anything.

Paige Miller Hmm...maybe we should create a prompts folder to give people ideas!

Karalee (karaleeksmith) I have this problem with writing a story.

Sometimes I won't even have a problem. Like...I'm getting into to much depth of what's going on and the problem has nothing to do with it.

So I try to get right to the problem, but then the whole thing goes too fast.

Soo...how long should an average beginning/introduction be?

message 7: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller I say that an average beginning should be at least two or three chapters, and can be up to five or even seven chapters long, depending on the length of your story.

An easy way to figure it out is that it should be roughly a fourth of your story. So, if your story is 20 chapters long, then I'd say your intro/beginning should be 5ish chapters.
