30.6. Donna Jo's Task - Having the Time of Their Lives
Pick two different options of the following and read one book from each. Be sure to state which two options you picked when posting.

A. Read a book with the genre Biography, Autobiography or Memoir on its GR main page;
B. Read a Time travel book (genre must be listed as time travel on book's main GR page);
C. Read a book with the word "Time" or "Life" in title or subtitle (Series name NOT included)--only exceptions are the words Times or Lives;
D. Using YOUR life, read a book first published during the decade of your birth. For example, I was born in 1942, so I could pick any book first published in 1940-1949. (Give the decade of your birth when posting).

Thanks, Karen. I just wish I could come up with stuff like that more often.

Meagan (mmbell) | 315 comments This might be an odd question, but what about the word time in a non-English language? For instance, I know we're going to be reading El amor en los tiempos del cólera for my Spanish lit class at the beginning of next semester. Could I count that for this task?

message 13: by April (new)

April I wish I could combine the Options.

Somewhere In Time works for B, C, and D because I was born in 1975 and the book was published in 1974

Meagan, that will work okay. When you post, just point out that is is in Spanish and what the word you are using is, and how it translates.

April, I've had that thought myself about several tasks. Wouldn't it be great to get bonus points? (And wouldn't THAT drive the mods crazy?)

When you post, be sure you mention it's been okayed, because the Time travel tag may be pushed to the next page.

Rebecca, sorry it took me so long--I've been offline for a few days. But you've got a good one for time travel.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

You could try this

http://en.wikipedica.org/wiki/Categor...

As with all lists, you'll want to double check.
